Some people fit better with other teams, Frye fits much better with Phoenix, Sergio I liked but if we get Miller to fit well with this team, he is much more valuable
Channing Frye, like former Blazer Shareef Abdur-Rahim, just need a lot of minutes to produce. It wasn't really a coincidence that when LMA went out for a few games in 07-08, Channing had his best stint as a Blazer. Very few players can come in and produce isntantly in a short span of time, which is why those guys like Outlaw and Rudy are so valuable and hard to come by.Sergio is going to have great games every now and then, but I don't think he is what this team needed. Our point guard defense is average at best right now, but it was really a matador style when he was one the floor.
Yes,I agree with the point that we need our point guard to be defensively strong, but how about S.Blake, A.Miller and J.Bayless`s situation. I don`t see why we use Bayless so few and give Blake so big minutes since the only good Blake have is his long-range shots(actually Bayless is improving on that this season).Miller has the ability to handle the ball around with good finishing, and he dose not have to get the ball on his hand to make himself productive. So,I think coach should take the blame, after we drafted, signed all these good players,he still play the same thing last year.
I knew Frye was a real solid player ever since his days in Arizona. Even after he was panned I thought he would be a good player if he could just get some real time. I doubt he will be what Aldridge can become and so it would have been excessive to keep them both.
he needs to stop playing steve blake alltogether...... i cant stand watching him play. he doesnt do anything well... the best thing he does is shoot the 3ball, and even that is below average for a guard. Mcmillan needs to integrate miller and bayless.. I'd take blake out for good
