Johnny Flynn signs in Australia

By CamCripps3
Ex Portland guard Johnny Flynn has inked a deal with Australian team the Melbourne Tigers after being waived by the Detroit Pistons last month.

Flynn, who is already in Melbourne is expected to train with the Tigers in the coming days and debut on Friday night and ultimately put people in seats as he NBA experience and ability is expected to shine in Australia. Another former Blazer in Patty Mills also played for the Melbourne Tigers as part of a short stint before returning to the San Antonio Spurs.

Living in Melbourne myself I'm sure Johnny Flynn will attract big crowds as the Melbourne Tigers are sitting near the bottom of the standings and need some star power. Flynn is the biggest signing Australia's National Basketball League has seen.

I will have to buy myself a ticket and witness the debut on Friday night.

  1. i followed Patty last year with the Tigers & heard about Jonny's signing. i like the way the NBL game is played; it's fast-faced and entertaining. i think it's a good move. definitely going to keep my eye on him.
