The Rivals Plan - Just Right for me! (Blog Contest Entry)

By loler
Being a true trailblazers fan, I almost instinctively hate many things. Such as knee injuries, botched calls, and of course, THE L*KERS!

Although, becoming a Blazer fan means keeping an empty space in your heart for many special people and things. Such as Brandon Roy, teamwork, and the noise of the Rose Quarter.

Subsequently, the rivals pack would fill my hearts desires, and more. Each of the games would make my fill me with joy, and here is why:

LA Clippers: Ahhhhh Blake Griffin. Chris Paul. Marquee players. As a young fan, I awe at such natural talent, and love it even more when it gets crushed by our Blazers!
The LaMarcus vs. Griffin and Lillard vs. Paul match ups are enough to get any true fan going. Throw in a Leonard vs Jordan, and this is a can't miss game.

Minnesota Timberwolves: Brandon. Roy. One of the premier players this franchise. Returning home. His entry into the arena where it all started will be a moment that can't be missed. Being a young fan, I never got to witness the championship team and Bill Walton. I never saw Clyde Drexler lead this franchise to repeated Finals. My interest in this team was founded by Brandon Roy and his turn around of this franchise. And to watch him come back would be an occasion not to be missed.

Okc Thunder: Enough said. We want REVENGE!

Indiana Pacers: A team I have great respect for. They play a brand of team basketball that is similar to our very own trailblazers team. Plus Jeff Pendergraph would be coming back to the RG!

Denver Nuggets: Another team that plays team basketball. I despised them when they had Carmelo but their new brand of basketball is very likable to watch. Alas, being a division rival, it is mandatory that we crush them! I want to be there to see it!

Memphis Grizzles: From what I have heard of Z Bo he did not have a very good run in Portland. All the more fun beating him!

Utah: Another division rival. A game that promises to be an intense match up. The type of defense that will be seen is this game is a lost art in the NBA.

All in all, I would pick the Rivals Plan and cherish the contests, knowing they'll be some of the best in the season!
