Rip City,

This is my first post as a part of your wonderful community, the Trail Blazer Bloggers Network.

I was born and raised in Portland and I am now living and working in Los Angeles. Any true Blazer fan (especially one who can remember the late 90's and early 2000's) knows that I am a pilgrim (sitting in the traffic) of an unholy (Hollywood)land.

While LA is a magnificent city of culture, mystique and adventure, my basketball loyalties have lied and will always lie with one team. The Portland Trail Blazers.

Probably one of my favorite things about the Blazers is the pride we all share in our team. Talk to a Blazer fan about the players, the arena, our city. It is clear that this organization is a team through and through.

While some big market franchises come close to capacity mid way through the first quarter and fizzle out somewhere in the fourth, the Rose Garden is always packed with knowledgeable, LOUD fans. With the help of this network, Wheels, Tone and the Mikes (and probably too much time spent online researching stats, players and teams) I have been able to remain a part of this team, even from 1000 miles away.

Blazer fans are everywhere.

I am here to vouch for that fact and offer the perspective of a Portland guy living behind enemy lines...

Everyday is a great day to be a Blazer,

  1. I know, its crazy to see Blazer fans in every single away arena...
