One that slipped away

The fine line between a goaltend and a block, that was the difference between the win and a heartbreaking loss for the Blazers tonight. Yes there were other factors in the game that could have lead to a win for the Blazers yes they could have rebounded better earlier so they would not have been in that situation, but the fact of the matter is the game was lost and Portland could not close it out. This is just another example of the lack of clutch play by this years team. The Blazers are winless in both games decided by four or less points and in overtime games. Even though it has become obvious that they can hang with the elite teams and be with them to the end, there is still another step to be taken. No single player holds the responsibility for tonights loss, as nearly everyone missed shots going down the stretch, but once again LaMarcus needs to find a way to make his presence better felt in the closing minutes. I would hope that tonights loss would be a motivation fo the blazers to step up their game in the future, lest they slip away from contention.
