Wojnarowski: Oregon's EJ Singler Added To Training Camp Roster

By DHawes22 Posted in: Blazers
According to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Portland Trail Blazers and former Oregon Duck, E.J. Singler, have agreed to a training camp deal. Singler went undrafted this past June before joining brother Kyle on the Detroit Pistons Summer League squad. In five games in Orlando, Singler posted averages of 1.6 points, 1.6 assists, 0.2 rebounds and 1 steal in 12 minutes of action. During his final season in Eugene, Singler averaged 11.7 points, including 35.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists in 31 minutes of action all while leading the Ducks to the Sweet 16.

As is stands, the Trail Blazers have a full 15-man roster and the non-guaranteed contracts of Dee Bost and Terrel Harris on the books. Also, it should be noted that Singler was invited to participate in two pre-draft workouts at the Practice Facility so there's familiarity on both sides. And while only the coaches know how he performed in those workouts, when the media was allowed to watch, E.J. put on a pretty impressive shooting display from distance as evidenced both here and here.
