On The Clock With JJ Hickson

This past Media Day, I was fortunate enough to be able to sit down and interview the Trail Blazers and Head Coach Terry Stotts ... But these aren't your average, run-of-the-mill basketball questions. Without further ado, here is the next installment of "On The Clock" with
JJ Hickson.
What's your favorite part about the city of Portland?
JJ Hickson: The weirdness
What's your favorite item on the menu at Pine State Biscuits?
JJ: The Reggie with mushroom gravy
Your ideal Southern meal consists of...?
JJ: Fried chicken, mac and cheese, and greens
If you didn't attend North Carolina State, you would have played college basketball where?
JJ: NC State or nothing
Who is the one former NBA legend you would love to match up with one-on-one?
JJ: Bernard King (
Ed Note: Great answer. A lot of people sleep on Bernard King, but he was one of the most lethal scorers in league history, averaging more than 20 points per game in 11 of his 14 seasons, including a league-leading 32.9 ppg during the 1984-85 campaign.)
What's your favorite pair of Nike's?
JJ: OG Barkley's
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
JJ: Recess (
Ed Note: Another excellent pick by JJ. I used to watch this show every night during my Freshman year at college.)
Who's your favorite character on Martin?
JJ: That karate dude...I can't think of his name right now! (
Ed Note: I too drew a blank, but it turns out karate dude is Dragonfly Jones.)
What video games are you playing right now?
JJ: None, but when I do it's Call of Duty.
What's currently playing on your iPod?
JJ: Future
What's your favorite Friday movie?
JJ: First one. It's a classic.

JJ: Yeah, you gotta go with Smokey
