Large victories from small losses

By mbmurr1 Posted in: Blazers, Lakers, Suns
In a loss that is relatively meaningless, several players learned lessons that can only be learned from real NBA experience.

Damian Lillard lesson was that you can try as hard as you want but chips don't always fall your way, and there is another game coming that you must be prepared for the next game.

Meyers Leonard lesson was that a small amount of pressure at the right time eliminates your opponents chance of getting the rebound. (thanks to Marcin Gortat)

This is one thing the preseason brings for rookies (experience).

What are your thoughts on the preseason so far?
Previous Story: Phoenix Suns tonight
Next Story: Pop-ups

  1. I think the Suns game showed that Ronnie Price is a better defensive pt guard than Damien Lillard against a scoring pt guard like Dragic. I think it showed that Sasha Pavlovic is a play maker on both ends of the court and better than Smith, Morrison or Babbit and I think it showed that we need better rebounding and more assists from everyone on the team. Also that we will live and die from quick 3pt shots and might be better off driving the lanes and getting guys like Scola and Gortat in foul trouble.
