I don't think anyone in the NW can possibly spend like Paul Allen's spending right now. Keep in mind that our roster has been one of the most expensive ones for the duration of his ownership. Portland has actually paid second most luxury tax out of all teams since the expansion, only behind by Dallas Mavericks. There still are lots of bills he's gotta pay for the team that we often forget about. Nate McMillan's contract still has about $ 3 million owed to him, and Rich Cho is due the 2nd and 3rd year salary buyout. Brandon Roy's amnestied contract is all coming out of Paul Allen's pocket (minus what Minnesota is paying him). I know he's a very wealthy man, but that right there is also a huge sum of money. You know he kinda wants to keep this team next to his Seahawks in Seattle, but we still got it to ourselves thanks to him.
He need a second owner and that should be Bill GATES he will be a good owner and we would never have to be concerned about space caps, i bet we would attract many star player for cheap money
No offense to Mr. Allen, but more money was spent on a yacht then on the Blazers and Seahawks combined over the last year and Nate and Rich were directly his decisions. B-Roy was an unfortunate situation for everyone. From a fans perspective I would like to see us win no matter the cost, when you have as much money as Mr. Allen has, it would be difficult to spend even the majority of it without that spending making him more money. P.S. I would love to see Bill join Paul as his partner (it worked before).
