I agree w/ both of u ;) U both have very realistic #'s for every1.The sad part though is, IF Batum produces #'s like these above (which again, I believe either of the expectations above r very likely to happen), he is NOT living up to his contract. He NEEDS to AVERAGE @ LEAST 20ppg AND 6 rebs; IF he can't get #'s like these, he's gotta b traded around Jan.
Yeah your right. If your getting paid 11.5 million a year, your expected 19-20 points a game. But If he is not producing that much and is barley getting 16 a game than he would definitely be on the trade block. The Question is who would take him then?? Maybe teams like Toronto or Cleveland, teams looking to find a good wingman. We could gather draft picks and cap space. The thing is, the FA pool does not look that good next year. Hopefully we can steal a Thaddeus Young or Rudy Gay because there teams are trying to clear cap. Hopefully we wont be needing to talk about trades if Batum is producing enough .
Tor. or Cle. might play ball but I think Minny would still b interested; I think we can still con Kahn (Derrick Williams + draft picks & $ for Batum ;) Being able to get Pekovic AND Derrick Williams for Batum + $/picks would b my dream deal! :) Kkkkkkaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhnnnnnn!!!True that though Siccolo, I'm VERY MUCH hoping Batum can surprise the crap outta us & earn that coin he was given ;) IF that happens... THEN I'll b ALL about Nico! :)
I think Batum will grab more rebounds. But if we do decide that this is a rebuilding season and end up giving more minutes to rookies, that may not be. I'm wondering whether this is a team that wants to be in the playoff right away and play the starters most of the time, or a team that focuses on young player development and give more minutes to the rookies and sophs. I really cannot wait for the season to start..
LA will average at least 3 assists kicking it out to Lillard off of the double team.
@ Dhawes22, I like that! I hadn't thought about that until now ;)
O yeah hes gonna have Freeland, Batum, Lillard, and Matthews to kick it out to. Our starting 5 can put up huge numbers.
