Bost?

By mbmurr1 Posted in: Blazers
I think Dee Bost earned himself a spot on the team because of his play in summer league. How do you feel? I can't believe we picked up Price without giving summer league a chance to pan out before making our decision and signing a player who would have still been there after Vegas summer league was over. Thoughts?

  1. Ronnie Price is a great pickup for us. He's a vet who plays lock down defense and has chemistry with Wesley Mathews as well as works out with Lillard in the off season. He played for Jerry Sloan..that's a school to graduate from. We have 2 guys at the point with very little NBA experience. I'd rather send Luke Babbit to Idaho and sign another center like Pryzbilla for the last roster spot. Babbit did not impress me in summer league and Pavlovich is an upgrade at his position. Bost is ok, but summer league does not show what these kids can do against Dwight Howard or Andrew Bynum.

  3. I just think Bost should have been given more of a chance, Price may have beaten him out, but sign Bost to a minimum contract and send him to the d-league.

  4. I also think Babbitt needs to be traded or cut. his defense is weak and his set shot 3 is looking pretty bad, at least in the summer league vs. lesser talent. So how bad will he look in the regular season vs. real talent?

  5. Yeah Bost has the chance to be like a Randy Foye /Charles Jenkins type player. I think if hes put in a good situation he can be a decent role player. The problem is that Blazers have way too many guards. Hes good but I cant see him beating Elliot , Barton, Price, or Nolan for minutes.

  6. I see Bost as a good trading chip, if we sign him.
