Freeland our starter?

By mbmurr1 Posted in: Blazers
After watching Freeland play against the US team I think that with our roster Freeland is the starter, his offense needs a lot of help but his defense is there, he looked a bit like Przybilla although he was playing smaller players like Lebron, I liked that he was boxing out on Carmelo. I don't think he is our future center but who knows. Let Freeland and Leonard tag team the center position this year and see where we are by the trade deadline. We have way too many players on our roster so, unless we make a trade we will be eating several contracts this year. Any thoughts?

  1. Didn't u say something like, "Chris Johnson... is twice the player Freeland is or ever will be." YEAH, WATCHING players AND giving them a CHANCE to prove themselves is a good policy.

  2. I still believe Chris Johnson is twice the player Freeland is or ever will be but, Chris is not on our team so that being the case Freeland appears to have the best chance of being the starter on the present Blazer roster.

  3. Chris Johnson is not even close to Freeland, he's got the bigger wingspan & perhaps is bit more explosive under the rim and that's it. Freeland is quality to me, but I cannot promise he will transfer his assets to NBA level. It doesn't mean we cannot get Chris, I like him but for now he would be 13th-15th spot in roster
