i am 100% blazer fan but....

By BestEraEver1
can we as blazer fans who are sooo prone to riteousness and doing things right admit that kobe bryant is not only the best player in the league but also the most exemplary professional basketball player there is today and that the young blazer players, especially BRoy, need to look up to him?  Not being a fan of him is one thing (since kobe has literally beaten the blazers single handedly numerous times) but dissing him or making negative accusations about him is just hating.  People say he is not a good leader and surely he wasnt when he was 18 years old! But now he just lead a team to a ring and not long ago lead the usa redemtion team to a gold medal! Not to mention he has work ethics that rival MJ's and arguably has the best killer instinct in the history of the game! From a stand point of being an avid blazer fan im all for not being a fan of him and sometimes wishing he'd play with one leg against the blazers. However, kobe is the definition of legitimate greatness and the blazer fans need to stop the hate and embrace his presence because the "next best" team or player will be a product of kobes post career and the trail he has left for the future...

There's MJ..there's kobe....and then the rest....think about that.

  1. So what's your point? We all know Kobe is great or else he wouldn't be worth hating. But if you're trying to say that Kobe is the second best basketball player of all time behind Jordan, I'll have to disagree with you. He's probably the third best Laker in the history of the team, behind Magic and the Logo, so don't put him on to high of a pedestal. I will admit he's the best player in the league right now, but probably not for long.

  3. You know I disagree because although I agree he has tremendous talent and skills as a ball player, but I hate Kobe for who he is as a person. It is not "accusations" that got him to settle outside of court and get the charges dropped. Kobe is an arrogant, self entitled jerk who unfortunately is a children's role-model because of his outstanding basketball skills. Yes, he is a competitor. Yes he has skill, but I certainly do NOT want these Blazers looking up to him. I want them on top looking down on him hoisting a trophy and saying "Kobe, you won a ring and stand alone with shallow friends that will leave you in an instant. We won a trophy together as a team, as friends, and there is something much more rewarding about that. Nice guys don't finish last when they stand together." That is what I want to see. Forget Kobe. Bring on the Trailblazers and Rip City. I'll take that anyday.
