wat the blazers and the fans need more than anything to take the next step toward the coveted championship ring is not a perfect oden, tougher aldridge, better defense or even a relentless roy..they also dnt necessarily need this vague term "toughness" either....wat they really need is "meaness", to be selfish and add some feistiness..bcuz than all the rest will come together..im saying this as a blazer fan myself and bcuz i feel the blazers r mentally as soft as oklahoma city thunder..we clearly have the talent, depth, speed, range, size and all the rest to b a champ caliber team however the blazers fans have developed this image nationwide ever since the jail blazer days that no blazer should be a dick (lack of better terms)..in other words we cant always be the good guys anymore..we are now the hunters not the hunted and in order to shed blood we need to be the bad guys sometimes..moderate blazer fans will hate all im saying and i have no doubt about that...but in order to get to the promise land and become the best of the best the blazers and us fans need to seek vengence,retaliation, statements and mayb a little spite into our spirits..bcuz their has never been and will never be a championship team that doesnt look for those and frankly thats wat i worry abou the most..

there is such thing as destiny for all teams in all sports..the lakers won it all last year bcuz it was their destiny..boston the year b4 bcuz it was theirs...In order for the blazers to have a season destined to bring back the championship ring to the NW they will most def have to trasition over to being the team with their pride on their shoulders and cold blood in their veins...Not to confuse people that we need to become the isaiah thomas and the pistons back in the day i also believe modesty is our core image and it shouldnt be denied..however i firmly believe that the next mamba, the natural, brandon roy and his desire to win has his mindset on precisely wat have talked about...

so yea ripcityrevival...itll be tough to disrespect my opinion bcuz i know exactly wat im talking about and im all about the blazers and their pursuit of a ring...no shinanigans all success and winning!

  3. Look, first it's "meanness" two "n's." Second, I already blogged on this early in the post season. They don't need selfishness, they need a "killer instinct." Big difference. And as far as comparing Roy to Kobe, that is a spit in the face of any passionate Blazer fan. That's like telling a Bears fan that Cutler is almost as good as Farve. Or telling Larry Bird he was almost as good as Magic. You might as well just shoot your reputation in the foot. I get what you're saying, I really do. But I think you need to explore it a little deeper than the surface, and you need to recognize your audience buddy. Kobe is a terriffic basketball player, but I would never put him on my team because of WHO Kobe is. So when you compare Roy to him you have to separate the PERSON and the skills. The only reason you "lack better terms," is because those are the values you hold. I personally, hold the outside role-models of my children to higher standards.
