Back To Shooting

By LaMarcus Aldridge Posted in: LaMarcusAldridge, rehab
I'm 4 weeks post-op yesterday.  I'm feeling great and my walking is a lot better -- very close to normal. I feel my strength coming back in my hip and leg.

I can start shooting today flat-footed (no jumping yet,) so I'm going to take advantage of that and start getting up shots.  Want to work on my shooting form and ball handling. One of my goals for next season is to be better at attacking the rim off the dribble from the block and the elbow area.

Had a rough week before, but now I've bounced back and I'm doing great.

  4. Glad to hear everything is going as planned. Gotta say, if you learn to attack the rim off the dribble, and get your ball handling cleaned up, you will be absolutely unstoppable.

  6. You are great as is, but I know all great players adds something new to their game each year if possible. Just be patient and keep up the good work.
I do remember from listening to opponents announcers on the NBA package, that they often said that they waited until you started to dribble before the double teamed you because you were more vulnerable then, so working on your dribble drive and kick out would be very effective.

  7. This is one of many reasons I love having L.A. on our team. Every off-season, he takes 1 or 2 things that he knows he doesn't do well, and masters it over the summer. I have every confidence that next year, L.A. will be even better than before because he will have this new skill set to add to his already impressive PF abilities.
