A strike shortened season will favor a young balanced team like the Blazers. Fresh legs and athleticism should bode well for this team. Off to a good start and to hear that the defense is as strong as our offense is def encouraging. Like you said the road will be the biggest challenge. In order to contend for a title you must win on the road, that's a given. I'll never forget when the Isiah led Pistons rolled into P-Town and beat us three straight to capture their second consecutive title. That's what championships are made of. That team was hard nosed on the defensive end of the court and also had the ability to put up 150 points in a single game. That team came closer then any other to scoring 200 points in a game, the poured down 186 in a 4 OT game against the Nuggets. Isiah - Joe - And Vinnie each had 50 or more. Excited about the upstart Blazers and also encouraged just as you are. Win at home and play steady/consistent on the road and all will be well in Blazer land!!!!!
As the saying goes, "The good teams win most of their home games and split their road games."I will be very satisfied with a split on this 2-game trip. My next game to attend is the Laker game next Thursday. I'm sure glad I had the number one pick in my ticket draft;)
