Team Mating with the Blazers

Quick question here: what does a backup dancer, stock boy at Walmart and a poster of Justin Bieber have in common?

If you tuned into Jimmy Kimmel's Game Night following game three of the NBA finals Sunday, you just might know the answer to that one. Kimmel presented a half-hour special following the game featuring two basic segments; one where the host sat down and talked basketball with kids and another which featured the game show, Team Mating.

Team Mating (patterned after the classic game show, The Newlywed Game) pitted a pair of players each from two NBA teams in a bit of trivia against each other.

Low and behold, and you saw this if you were watching, LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden of the Trail Blazers were there, pitted against Evan Turner and Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers.

The guys get off to a bit of a slow start, but LaMarcus and Greg get in a few laughs early: Team Mating - Part 1

The Blazer big men get on the board and LaMarcus is put on the spot before the break before part 3: Team Mating - Part 2

We find out what LaMarcus thinks is in Greg's locker and the guys are put to the test in the final competition: Team Mating - Part 3

The only downer of the game was the prize. however, in all fairness, it might be so horrible, the Laker and his wife can only give it away as a parting gift.

Personally, I never realized either of our guys were that humorous (Turner and Iguodala provide some laughs too; note: twizzlers). It was a great segment to wet the appetites of Blazers fans.

And Jimmy Kimmel was kind of funny too.

  3. actually it was greg who likes a big booty not la that was never asked of him. i loved the team mate game. who would have been good would have been patty and rudy. i never guessed greg was so funny or even la for that matter. it was good to see them in a different element.

  5. Loved this segment by Kimmel. Hilarious idea and it turned out perfectly. I knew Greg was humorous because of his skits and jokes on the ESPY's but who knew that LA was that funny? Good side for us fans to see and it was good to see teammates bonding like that. Thanks Kass :)
