Playoff Picture: Round One, Game Two
By sarahhecht
Fans across the league were treated to some incredible basketball in the first game of the 2011 playoffs. Without one blowout win and stand-out performances by some major players it was easy to enjoy games played by teams other than Portland.
Now it’s time for game two. For the Trail Blazers it’s important to get a win down in Dallas. Game film has been watched. The team has practiced. And focus is the name of the game. Seven games is a long series. Game one, and even game two doesn’t make or break it.
In game two the Trail Blazers will make some adjustments and come out on fire. There’s no doubt in my mind we’ll see a noticeably different Portland team.
Which adjustments do you think are the most important? What are your predictions for the Trail Blazers in game two?
Here’s a quick recap of the Western Conference game one results:
The

#8 Memphis Grizzlies toppled the

#1 San Antonio Spurs 101-98.
The

#7 New Orleans Hornets downed the

#2 L.A. Lakers 109-100.
The

#3 Dallas Mavericks beat the

#6 Portland Trail Blazers 89-81.
The

#4 Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the

#5 Denver Nuggets 107-103.
