I understand that fans grow to love certain players but trades are necessary to keep teams under the salary cap and in contention for the title of champion. I am happy with the team Portland has assembled thus far but if we can draft..... Nolan Smith, This will free us up to try and sign Dwight Howard using Andre Miller, Brandon Roy, and Marcus Camby in a sign and trade deal with Dwight signing for 7-8 years. Orlando would do this trade rather then lose him for no return and he would be going out of their division and to the west. This move while not popular with a lot of B. Roy fans would solidify the Blazers as a title contender for several years to come. We must face facts B. Roy will never be the player he once was with the knee problems he now has, sure he will have his great nights but they won't be every night and coming off the bench making 13+million a year.... with severe injury just one twist away Brandon must be traded while he is as close to the top of his game as possible. Simply from a business standpoint this must be done or his contract must be renegotiated which I don't think any player would do no matter how much he likes the team. Face facts we are far over the cap right now and we are still missing the final pieces to a championship puzzle that is within reach if the right moves are made and yes these moves are staggering but if made Portland would be an offensive, defensive, rebounding, and shot blocking Juggernaut that no team could stand against in a series. With a starting line-up of PG Nolan Smith, SG Wesley Matthews, SF Gerald Wallace, PF Lamarcus Aldridge, C Dwight Howard and a bench of Nicolas Batum, Rudy Fernandez, Greg Oden, Patty Mills, Chris Johnson, Elliot Williams, Armon Johnson, and a couple draft picks or free agents.    GO BLAZERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What do you think?
