preacher's corner...

Hottest team in the league?  Charles Barkley's favorite team and he knows a thing or two.  Great game.  Well coached, well played.  On the road the blazers beat the heat and the magic of course without Howard then lose to the weaker teams.  That's why i like andre miller.  Experience is under rated in almost anything american these days.  I did see the orlando game and it was decent.  I heard about the Charlotte game and it sounds typical of us, young team folds under pressure.
Some teams play to the level of the team they are playing.  Some teams don't recover as quickly after a tough game due to mental and physical conditioning.  Back to my take as bible teacher--2 things jump out--hunger--the hungry shall be filled, that's why i like the youth and the depth of the blazer's now someone always seems ready to get after it.  Belief--faith-- you have to believe you can beat the other team.  When they are better you have to outsmart them or play harder or be hungrier.  Bill Walton got 2 rings in his career, one with us.   He believed.  An injury prone career but he believed in himself and miracles probably.
Back to little league.  We were facing the toughest pitcher in the league.  He had just grown a foot and was bigger than anyone else in the league.  I figured so we lose a game.  My dad took our team to the batting cages and had us all hit in the 100 mph before the game.  We clobbered the pitcher and knocked him out in the 2nd inning.  It was hard to believe.  Some times luck or a hunch or an idea or something can make a difference and get us out of the status quo.  Good luck and keep the faith!
