We’re setting the curve Blazers fans. According to RealGM, Rich Cho and company have earned the Trail Blazers an
A- in the trade for Gerald Wallace.
“The value of a player like Wallace to a team like Portland is his versatility. He can defend any wing in the league and also hold his own against a fair amount of the power forwards. The Blazers have successfully been going small with greater frequency later and playing Wallace, Batum and Matthews together at the two through four positions creates uncomfortable match-ups for opposing teams. Their collective strengths become greater than the sum of their parts if they hit all cylinders as Rich Cho predicts.” -Christoper Reina, RealGM
I couldn’t agree more.
Although the trade came at the price of some beloved Blazers, Gerald Wallace fits the mold to step right into the same realm. Marcus Camby anyone? The heart on this guy is unbelievable. We Trail Blazers fans love to see hustle and drive. He’ll leave it all on the floor. No guts no glory.
RealGM gave the Charlotte Bobcats a “B” in for the deal that sent their All-Star to Portland. I’m glad to see we came out on top.
How would you grade the trade?
