LA Playing Too Many Minutes

By Roland Posted in: blakegriffen, chrisbosh, dwighthoward, LaMarcusAldridge
For the month of February, including the Laker game on Wednesday the 23rd, Lamarcus Aldridge is averaging 41.6 mins per game, which is more than any other premiere big man in the game - Griffen, Bosh and Howard are the closest averaging 39, 38 and 36 mins per game respectively.

While Larmarcus is young (25), he is and has become a major cornerstone of our franchise so his heavy minutes have me full of trepidation. From a basketball perspective, big men take more pounding and physical contact vis-a-vis wing players, and with LA's recent devotion to playing with power in the post, these high minutes have to concern or intrigue Blazer fans. Whatever the solution or what the future holds, I hope LA finds the longevity to remain a star for years to come!

  2. It looks like Camby and LA will split center responsibilities, and Wallace and LA will split pf responsibilities unless we pick up another big man. I would say deal Rudy but for a quality big but w/ our streak of injuries it's proceed w/ caution. If only Babbit and AJ were able to provide something we would be in an ideal spot but that is not the case.
