Fan Voting Is a Joke

By blazerdarren77
So the starters were just announced moments ago. No surprise to me about who was chosen in both conferences (to find out, go to nba.com or espn.com) The problem I have is when a player is chosen who hasn't even played during the season. I'm talking about you, Yao Ming! You shouldn't even be on the ballot for this year.
I'm also having a problem with the league in selecting a replacement. Ming's replacement will be the decision of commissioner David Stern. If the balloting is from the fans, shouldn't the player with next most fan votes receive the honor?
Granted, the all-star game is for the fans, and I'm fine with that. Fans should have their say as to who they want to see. The process just needs to tweaked so that those selected deserves the vote.
