Welcome to the Trail Blazers Bloggers Network
By Dick Vardanega
Welcome, fans, to the new Trail Blazers Bloggers Network. As passionate supporters of the team, you're already aware
Mike Barrett and
Casey Holdahl have been churning out great blogs for a while, and your response to those blogs has been fantastic. You've also told us you wanted even more. The creation of the Trail Blazers Bloggers Network will provide just that.
The first additions, joining MB and Casey, will be
Brian Wheeler and, the "Wild One,"
Mike Rice. Both will provide weekly blogs to the network. Wheels, capturing the "Boom Shaka Laka" and "It's a Great Day to be a Blazer" spirit, will share his stories about and passion for this team and game he loves. The "Wild One," still mired in "I can't type so here are my 11 pages of chicken scratch notes on a 14 x 11 ½ ruled legal paper… and oh, sorry about the food stains," will definitely keep the conversation lively with the view you get of the game only from his eyes!
The network will also feature a couple of video blogs. Antonio Harvey will give us a unique look off-the-court and behind-the-scenes with his blog "From the Perimeter". Already an established blog receiving heavy traffic (surprise!) on trailblazers.tv,
BlazerDancer Cristi's Lifestream will be added to the network. Watch for Cristi and the other dancers as they traverse around Portland in her very cool Ford Fiesta.
Familiar to many of you from our Trail Blazers social sphere,
Sarah Hecht, aka Rip City Sarah, will be joining the network. She will try to keep things sane as well as providing her own blog. Sarah's fresh, unique, and energetic style will be another great addition. As the network rolls out, special guest bloggers will also be featured.
We are also launching a blog called "Truth Be Told" which will challenge the myths, allegories, urban legends, and rumors floating around out there that, believe it not, sometimes find their way into the conversation.
Now here's another really cool part. The network is also your opportunity to participate, and I don't mean just with your comments to what our bloggers write. We are encouraging – no, we are demanding fan blogs! The very best will be showcased on the network. With any new enterprise there has to be rules. Ours will be very simple:
Be interesting
Be yourself
Have fun
We were going to add ‘don't be shy', but I don't think we need to say that.
Again, thank you for your great support and we look forward to your comments and participation with the Trail Blazers Bloggers Network.
