A Never Ending Legacy

When my father passed away my sister wrote a poem that talked about his legacy and how seeds were planted in our hearts each day we had spent with him up to that moment. From those seeds the fruits of his labor began to grow in us and the light of his life will continue to shine. As we remember Maurice Lucas today and in the years to come I pray each of you finds comfort in having known the richness of his love and feel joy as you acknowledge how he has touched your life. As the seeds of his legacy grow in our hearts they manifest themselves in our lives and the light of his life will never dim. It is never easy to say goodbye to the people we love and cherish. Remember that the love and memories shared never leave us so draw peace from each moment and strength as you carry the legacy of Maurice Lucas in your hearts.

  1. Aw, lovely sentiment. I lost my father as well (2001) and I hope that I can carry his legacy/his dreams forward as I live my life. I am sure that Mr. Lucas' kids will do the same as they continue to grow. As for the fans and others who were able to meet him, they too can carry on and learn from his life and put it into action, so that they can be good examples for society, just as Mr. Lucas was for those he came across in his life. Again, nicely put Veronica. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this loss.
