Just a Thought

By blazerfanatic7
Hello fellow Blazermaniacs,

Sorry I have not contributed to the site in a while, but I felt now is the perfect time to blog about the young season which is successful thus far. I personally am very proud of Portland's team effort especially last night as Wesley Matthews led the way with 18 points, followed closely by Roy with 17 and 6 total Blazers finished in double digit scoring. Marcus Camby, even with limited minutes, gobbled up 13 boards and Aldridge had another impressive game with 5 blocks.

At 4-1, the Blazers return home with only one loss under their belt after four consecutive road games including two back-to-backs. In my opinion, once Pryzbilla returns, scheduled for Nov. 26th at home against NOH, and Oden, who is expected sometime in December, this team will have quite a size advantage and great depth at the Center position; I feel they are capable of challenging the Lakers out in the Western Conference. I know, I do not want to get ahead of myself but I truly believe in this team who has been constantly reilient and scary once healthy.

One more thing to add is the emotional passing of the great Forward Maurice Lucas, you fought an enormous battle and will never be forgotten. You brought a championship to the Rip City back in 1977 so I only feel it appropriate to return the favor and bring a championship back to you as the 2010-2011 season is dedicated in your memory. Rest in peace Maurice Lucas, you are a legend who not only affected the city of Portland, but the entire NBA.

Everyone please feel free to add any comments and go Blazers!
