    Let's make it happen CT.

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

    Asik to Portland

    Josh Smith to Houston

Babbitt, JJ Hickson, Pavlovic's expirint contract or Freeland to Atlanta who thinks they will tank if no Howard.

Okay if this is the message board Neil is listening to make it happen.

I would love Asik for JJ S&T, but I think signing Hibbert last season had greater odds.  As for now...

Robin, Robin, he's our man, if he can't do it...  I won't be shocked, but will stop calling him Side-Show Bob.  If he is a Blazer, it's my obligation as a Blazer fan to hope for the best and cheer my fancy pants off for him.

@ Blazer Fanatic, WB! :)  I'm w/ u on ^; although, I think I can cheer/accept him to the fullest all the while still getting away w/ calling him 1 of the 2 names that I've been calling him, "Bro-pez (I don't think this is too demeaning; I think it's fun! ;)"

BTW, I will retire my rendition (aka 2 of 2 nicknames ;) that I'd been using of "Side-Show Bob..." I was calling him, "Side-Show Rob(in)."

We'd all love to see those holes in the Blazer roster with steel reenforced concrete, but sometimes you just gotta settle for some good ol' fashion dirt and gravel.

Defense by committee at the pivot. Its been a while since we've had 18 fouls to give at the center position. Thats if things stay as they are.

@ commontongue, I am & have been an advocate of center by committee for a long time (not oppose to 1 super center though IF the price is right); Jordan (during his playing days) had it & it worked pretty good 4 him ;)  I REALLY think it's THE best way to bring along Meyers or even any other young center.  When Meyers is ready to b dominant, we can move away from CBC; IF for somehow he doesn't become as good as we think he can become... we can keep CBC & drop centers when they get too old & rotate in fresh younger centers (kind of an interchangeable thing ;)  There really r quite a few benefits to CBC i.e. it allows ur centers to b more aggressive w/ defense (more fouls like u said, more energy, etc.) & it really helps u to preserve ur centers for a long season. ;)

I still like the idea of getting Jermaine O'neal.  He could probably teach Lopez some things also.

I guess because he has an afro, and his name is Lopez. And Ricky, I like Jermaine, and definetely want him here, but he's not a coach. People always say leadership and mentoring as a reason to bring in a veteran.

But he may be able to teach by example or show how to position correctly.  I think it is worth a shot.

Would not be at all surprised if we still sign Jermaine.

I have only watched a few games of Lopez and didn't really gush at what I saw (being nice)... But he is a Blazer and I am the kind of fan that will support a guy so long as he plays his heart out for us!

I just don't know that this is the move that will get us into the playoffs.. but I will hope for the best!

    Hey @Simpson,

I was reading through an article that stated Gortat could be exchange for Robin Lopez and sign and trade rights to JJ and Sasha instead of Wes... which I thought was very reasonable especially since Gortat would bring a real low-post presents to our team which would compliment LA and I think get us in deep when the Playoffs come

I predict Olshey is not yet finished.  He likes big splashes (a la Chris Paul) and this is not yet; still a ripple in the pond.  I am still thinking he is looking to package several and get a good solid center.  On the other hand, Robin Lopez is not a bad option at all.  He definitely moves the needle on our interior help defense and he always seems to play hard.  I get the feeling Olshey is trying to buy time, training and back-up for Meyers until he is ready.  What do the rest of you think?

I am a fan of cheering our hardworking Blazer team to a championship!

@ DallasTrailBlazersFan, very nice! :)  Now THAT sounds like the Neil we know!  Hahaha! ;)  @ worst, if we were "stuck" w/ Bro-pez, I'm alright w/ that BUT IF we can get Gortat bak for really not much AND KEEP Wes instead... THAT'D make my summer! :)

@ Just Tim, I think THAT's EXACTLY what Neil's doin', it just makes sense & Neil ain't no dummy!  Hahaha! ;)  I believe in Meyers & Neil's gonna try to bring him along as best he can; the moves he's making r not only the best/wisest for Meyers BUT ALSO OUR organization :)

Or the worst of all: When your logged out and try to post a full paragraph (not knowing you weren't logged in), and then it erases it all.

    Yeah, just happened.

To sum it up, I would love it if we tried to get Gortat through trading Robin Lopez (former Sun). Not that I dislike Lopez.

Lopez + current team = 8th seed cusp team

Gortat + current team = serious playoff contenders (for a good, long while)

Not many better options. I like him, he is allround. I would like Dalembert, but he can only play limited minutes.

You ever watch him play? Especially when they had Steve Nash.. jw

If you have, then you'd understand why he has a lot more talent than the guy we just got (just saying).

Plus I like where he is at age-wise. He's not too old where he can't play but I think he would understand that he could help Meyers become a better all-around Center.
