Olshey will get veteran help in FA. I think Jermaine ONeal is the guy we get. I also think we need to get a veteran PG to help our two young ball handlers. Someone who is gonna call them out at practice and help them to improve. I think there will be healthy competition between the two at practice as well. I'm not sure who else Olshey will sign in FA though. We have a big collection of young talent at every position. Now we need guys to help get us over the top.

what was the trade for garret?

since withey can play center at the nba level, he will be a back up to leonard. we should sign o'neal to 2 year and 500k per year. with 11.1 million left, we should sign hickson to 4 year and 9.75 million per year. with 1.35 million left, we should sign brian robert to 3 year and 1.35 per year.

    lillard/mccollum/robert

    wesley/barton/

    batum/crabbe/claver

    aldridge/hickson/freeland

    leonard/withey/o'neal

this team would have the best backcourt team in the nba. our back up frontcourt would be hard to beat. our starter wouldn't have to play 32 mins. until the big games. i like our team so far

We got cash considerations for Garret.

I don't think they re-sign Hickson. That's a lot of cash for a backup PF who wont get more than 20 minutes behind Aldirdge. They might spend some cash for a powerfoward but the not 9 mill. Mine as well sign Paul MIlsap for that $$$

That team is too similar to last season. I think were gonna need to do better than that this time around. Im sure LA wants a REAL center to play next to.

We got 10 mill. Were gonna have to find a center for that much then sign a Power Foward with out room exception of 1.5 mill

Right now (Before FA) we have better team then last season and more assets to trade, Withey is a much better defender then JJ i think, he as the right size for a center, he rebounds and blocks. We got a backup for our backourt, that we needed, Mcollum, and Crabbe can be a nice backup  too (i think he might be traded, or barton i think we will only keep one o them)

PG: Lillard / Mcollum / vet

SG: Mathews / Barton / Crabbe

    SF: Batum /vet / Claver

    PF: Aldridge / vet/ Freeland

     C: ( THe Center) / Leonard / Whithey

IF im not worng we have  13,5M i cap space + RE (2,575M), and if we make a trade we may benefit with the potential that our young players have, so i would say we may see some off them leave.

Our Maing goal still the same, Starting Center, after we get him, we will only need to add some experienced vets to our bench, PG , SF and PF. Right now we are in a better position to "please" Aldridge then we were 24h ago. Because we managed to get a cheap 6th man and 2 more rooks  that can become very useful role players and compete with Barton and Leonard.

I don't think our team is better. Maybe a step in the right direction. I'm glad we got a big in Whithey but we are also minus Hickson. We have a hole at back-up PG whenever McCollum is on the floor with Lillard which is a liability if either get into foul trouble or are having an off night. It would be a pleasant surprise if Barton improves drastically in the off season but a surprise none the less and I don't expect a whole lot from Crabbe but I hope he can contribute off the bench so there's that. Then we have a hole at the backup SF position. I suspect we have not seen Claver's best basketball but still something that needs to be addressed. Next at PF we have Freeland, 'nough said. The center is the obvious weakness but if we don't get that dealt with in free agency we have a HUGE flaw. If nothing else Olshey could sign Jermaine O'neal and rotate Leonard and Whithey at both the C and the PF position but without major improvements we won't be better than last year in the front court. So basically our weakness just got weaker.

You got me there Unholy, that was what i meant to say. We surely took a step foward.

In a Week we will have the chance to see and evaluate what our rooks can do in the Summer League, i think we should at least wait until then before making bad judgements. We will test CJ as PG, and watch the improvement Leonard, Freeland, Claver and Barton. And some more

By the way interesting summer league roster, isnt it? Some more players  should be added maybe try some vets...

    Pg: Mcollum

    Sg: Barton / Crabbe

Sf: Claver / Czyz (Polish played in Italy)

    Pf: Freeland

    C: Leonard / Withey

i have high expectations for summer league. i remember dame dominated last year but i also remember bayless averaging like 30 points one year so it's a crap shoot. i just wanna see some consistency among the returning vets. im actually excited to see the progress the second year players have made. who knows how it'll translate into the season but still, good stuff.

Leonard and Withey should dominate the paint in summerleague. And whats the deal with E.Will ? Is he going to be given another opportunity to shine or are we going to move him ?

Crabbe has the ability to play the 3 which is probably why they traded for him. There has been no talk of him being traded or any other player now. All the talks died when the bulls denied deng and Noah for Aldridge. Just sit back and watch now. Portland has two options at center. Kaman or o'neal. O'neal is cheaper and wants to play for us. O'neal we can probably get for $12 over a 3 year deal. SignAndray blatche to a 4 year $20 contract.

    lillard/McCollum

    mathews/Barton

    batum/crabbe/claver

    aldridge/blatche/freeland

    oneal/Leonard/withey

all we need is a back up pf and a starting center and we are set to make it to the playoffs and a decent run and either fall out during the second round or the western conference finals. Our advancement on the playoffs is how much of a difference o'neal and Leonard can make defending the paint when we get to the playoffs. We have the offensive lineup to push us to the next level but defense is what will keep us there.

Since no trade was made I don't know if Neil's intentions are to trade anyone, or at least the core, but I could be wrong, but I also don't think I am wrong, so I'll continue on... David Aldridge on the pre-draft show said Lamarcus is tired of getting banged around and would like a bulky center who will handle it defensively. So I mean the ones that come to mind are Dwight and Bynum who are pretty much off the table, then there's Kaman and Big Al who are both more known as offensive, so there's one name that's kinda sticking out to me, a healthy Greg Oden, but the key word is healthy. Honestly one of the best centers for us would be Tyson Chandler.

I would love a healthy Greg Oden, but would a healthy Greg Oden love us? There aren't really many great defensive centres nowadays. I honestly don't think dwight is that great. He's a good shot blocker, that's about it. I think Larry Sanders and Marc Gasol are better. They genuinely play defence. But, since it's a guards league, there aren't many great OFFENSIVE centres either.

Getting a good D guy would be great, but a shot blocker would be nice too. Whithey can give about 10 minutes a night, not good enough. We need a starter. Don't know what they are gonna do, but looking forward to it.

Thats a nice idea, but why sign Milsap/Landry, if Hickson is PF? wouldnt it be better to sign a veteran Center and a veteran SF with that money?
