I don't think another young big man is what we need. Well another young big man not named Demarcus Cousins that is. Robinson was good in college, but this is the NBA. If he couldn't crack it at the Rockets, who needed a PF I have my suspicions that he won't cut it here in Portland either. We need a Center, not a young PF.

Pain terms of Harris, his numbers are down dramatically. But he would bring us a good quick scoring guard. If we can move Wes and the 10th pick for Oladipo, then Harris would become an ideal backup combo guard. Admittedly he isn't a great shooter, but he is a good penetrator and is quite adept at using his pull up jumper in transition. His passing would be a huge upgrade over Wes and Oladipo seems to be the most complete defensive guard in this draft. I think our backcourt is decent, but needs some variety.

I would like Devin Harris about 3 years ago. He is on the decline I think they would be cheaper and younger options out there

Id go after Darren Collison. He'd be a great change of pace guard off the bench. Definitely would help our bench thrive because he's quick. His shot is a little suspect, but he's only a third year player. Gerald Henderson is another guy i like. Very smart.

Henderson would be a terrific pick up. He is a little suspect as a defender but will give a real offensive weapon. If we get him we should also try to get Zaza Pachulia. He was a more than capable defensive Center in Atlanta.

I also like Marcus Thornton. I imagine he would be quite expensive. He makes around 8,5mil a year. He can either start or come off the bench. Having him on the floor with Maynor and Zaza to provide defense might just help our 2nd unit. We would need another shooter at the SF to make our 2nd unit more effective though. Ronnie brewer could play there but he doesn't give you great offense.

@ commontongue, I'm a fan of Collison; he's a good player (only slightly better than average b-ball IQ), more clutch, & better shooter than most ppl give him credit for.  Colliosn's problem is where he's @ mentally; his ego & confidence have taken some big hits.  His body language & such makes me think he may b fed up w/ the NBA & he might try to go overseas to get more $ & b appreciated more.  Collison believes he's a starter & even IF he should prove that he's good enough to b a starter w/ 1st coming off the bench... he's NOT the kind of guy that can do that; w/ him, u have to coddle him a bit from day 1, put him in as a starter & then when he hits slumps/makes mistakes, u have to leave him out there & let him figure things out.  Like I said, I AM a fan of the guy BUT, IF he's not our lead guard (which he will never b), u can't bring him to a team like ours & expect him to play 2nd fiddle to any1/come off the bench; I would pass on trying to get Collison (in Portland, elsewhere though... ;)

@ commontongue & Cailin, I don't like Henderson & he & Marcus r too streaky of shooters (Marcus's 3pt shots r way better v. Henderson though ;)  Cailin, u r right about Marcus being too expensive; especially w/ the cost benefit perspective, for how much u pay the guy; production won't b commensurate w/ pay :(  I'm w/ u/have been w/ u on getting Zaza (only IF he's cheap enough; IF not, we've other avenues we should go w/ for the $ it might take to get him i.e. Tiago Splitter); should Zaza b too expensive, we can almost b guaranteed to land Mozgov for cheaper.  I would sign Mozgov to a 4yr. deal; IF Zaza was cheap enough, he's 29 right now so I don't know how durable he'll b for how long (kinda concerns me); on the other hand, Mozgov is 26, he's pretty much the player he's gonna b BUT can improve some (Zaza has reached his ceiling) & he barley played this last season so he should b hungry & ready for heavy min. :)

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
