    If the organization does decide that JJ's value has gone too high and pulls the trigger on a trade.

    Would trading JJ Hickson for Derrick Favors be a fair or good trade?

    It would be a great trade for Portland cause Favors has a much higher ceiling and is already a superior defender. Unfortunately, Favors is not likely to be added on any trade blocks anytime soon.

    I say keep j.j. we would be no where without him he hustles and plays amazing for us every game. i say trade Barton, price, Nolan, Sasha, keep hickson and get rid of half the bench and miss the playoffs and make a run next year with a better bench if we get rid of hickson and do make it to the playoffs we will lose in the first round just saying lets be spart and keep players like hickson who gets out there every game and plays hard for portland

    Just a thought here but against the Pacers with their "true center" JJ had 13-14, Hibbert had 9-7

    Trading JJ wold be a poor decision on several fronts.

    1) Without him it won't matter what you add to the bench, this year would be shot.  Joel isn't near the player JJ is;

    2) If La Marcus gets injured, then what?;

    3) You tell your other starters to just give up on this season, rest your body and take a vacation - nice.  After everything they've done to stay healthy and wrench their guts out every game, you just shut that door by adding one or two bench players. JJ Hickson gives this team so much energy and commitment, waiving him off is a season ticket holder's nightmare. What are you people thinking?

    think this team, needs a couple of bench players, and they would reach the playoff for sure...

    But the management need to move fast...

    We should get at least get a PG and an SG/SF...

    We have some expiring contract, that we could use in trades... and some players that just dont fit here, that we could waive... and then sign a free agent...

    i  know this is kind of crazy... but if we trade J. Freeland for V. Carter? this would give experience to the team, and would be a very helpfull bench player, that would let Wes and Nic, rest more...

    or something like this... we need to take some risks, not even bigs risks... making a move or two, to improve our bench, is the minimun, the management could do, after this good beginning that the team starters are doing, and to give time to the rookies to develop without much responsability...

    Maybe we should go for Pekovic as a restricted free agent and see what Minn will do.

    Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
