Thank You Brandon for all you done for the organization, the fans, and the city of Portland you were one of the players who brought respectably back to Portland basketball the NBA truly lost a great player and a Class Act. I glad you but your health first and I hope you enjoy the rest of your days ahead. Thank you again and like The Rock said "Never Before, Never Again" #7 in the Rafters.
I am a fan of Respect, Loyalty, Honor & Pride the same thing the Blazer & their true fans are made of RIP CITY STAND UP!

Brandon, as a fan from New Zealand I am not tied geographically to any team, but it was the promise that you and the other young blazers showed in 2008 that made me a Trailblazers, and more specifically, B-Roy fan.

You quickly became my favourite player, and although there are very few games on TV here I always managed to catch your greatest moments. The shot against Houston, the emotional (for me too) game 4 against Dallas - legendary. You made fourth quarter magic seem like standard procedure. I'm really gonna miss seeing you on the court, it won't be the same.

As a fan I'm still behind you 100%. I know that if you could play, you would. Be strong bro. Thanks for the memories!

BRoy, "The Natural", A Rookie of the year recipient, a multiple NBA All-Star. whatever you want to call him, he's "The Man" hands down. You are Mr. Trailblazer, the way you carry your team (no offense to other trailblazer players) but Roy is Roy. He's Rip City's go-to-guy, He gets the job done. No one can replace you in the current roster. Your one of the best Blazer player.

I just want to say thank you for playing. I was inspired everytime I see you play. I sometimes imitate all of your moves. Players like you make me want to play basketball even more despite my height (5'2).

I'm really sad to see you go but family and health comes first VS job. I hope that you don't leave Portland (Be a commentator or an assistant coach, trainer, etc.) and I hope that I'll be seeing a #7 Jersey on the rafter

    Thank you Brandon Roy.

I remember watching you at UW and thinking someone needs to draft this kid. When it turned out to be my hometown Blazers I was ecstatic! You brought this franchise from the dark days into the light and there is nothing I could ever express to let you know how much I have appreciated your contributions to not only the team but the local community. You are a warrior and provided us with so many moments of greatness.

I am sorry that you've had to leave us but you will forever live in our hearts and you will always be a Trail Blazer. We will not forget what you did for our team and our city Brandon.

B ROY is one of a kind. THANK YOU for ALL you have done for the Blazers. The fans, the team and the amazing turn around over and over on the court. You are a player who will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I am sorry we could not seem to get to the finals in the years you played so hard for us. Every time you have come back from the injuries you always gave us fans hope and pride in being a Blazer fan. Watching you come back for the first game after your knee surgery this last year was priceless. I will never forget how you played and the amazing last shot of that first game back you played. The 3 point line is your amazing spot so whatever three line you take on in the future better watch out you are a force of greatness. I wish you nothing but good things in the future.  You will be missed and THANK YOU for being everything we all needed. You are our HERO. Once a Trail Blazer ALWAYS ALWAYS a Trail Blazer!!!!!!!!

Reading all of these articles about your retirement just makes me sad. You're a naturally talented person who deserve to be in the hall of fame category. You are an inspiration. You taught us to have patience and to always stay humble. I'd like to thank you for all that you've done to put Portland on the map. You'll always remain a Blazer in our hearts, Rip city loves you!

The link below is a fine example of what it feels like to have your dreams shattered especially in Roy's case where all he wanted to do was help his team badly and be out there on the court every night.. i hope ya'll watch this clip. I cried when i saw that clip. It's very sad but if you were passionate about anything in your life, when something you love gets taken away from you, it will bring your emotions out of you! It would have been somethin to see Roy, Aldridge and Oden all out there on the court 100% healthy. Heck, if everyone was healthy. That would have been a dream team to see! and i'm going to say it because its okay to say now.. WHAT IF!? really! WHAT IF!? and that's all you can say at this point.. Love you B-Roy! you really brought this franchise back up from it's feet when it was down from the few years before. Love all the blazers for making it a wonderful handful of seasons while Roy was with us. Starting in 2012, I hope the next few years bring us a new great era of Blazers to watch and hopefully our Blazers are getting inspired by this enough to where we can finally get a Ring! that would be something, lets get a ring for roy! :) anyway.. cheers everyone! go blazers!!!!!! go!!!!! (the clip below is from the movie Friday Night Lights)

there is so much to say about what Brandon meant to this organization, the city and the fans. there's not just one word which describes him, but "class" is one which stands out. Brandon came at a time when we needed him. he was spectacular on the court, and his example with his teammates is second to none. i don't think i'll ever see another player like Brandon in my lifetime. with that, i just want to thank Brandon for the privilege of being able to say that i've at least seen one player like that.

a bit ago, i posted my own blog about Brandon and what he's meant to fans. over these past five seasons. i think my words there better describe how i feel:

Brandon, YOU are the one who made me fall in love with the sport of basketball, the way you went about your basketball career was so honest, humble and so different to the normal way of things. You worked hard on your game and that showed in the way you played and the passion you showed.

I had the privileged of having season tickets the year we drafted Roy and Aldridge. I slowly watched Brandon become the heart and soul of our team and the face of our franchise. The Blazers were at their lowest point as a franchise when he came in and gave us relevancy. For years we wheeled out thugs and douche bags parading around in what appeared to be our uniforms. Then, when we stopped all that, we sunk to the bottom of the NBA. Roy came in and brought this team both wins, and class. I will never forget what Brandon meant to this city and the special place he will always have in Portland's heart. Unlike some of the other Blazer greats Brandon never left us. He was a Blazer until the end. Which means a lot to me.
I am a fan of close games.

Brandon you were the reason I started playing basketball, you will always be my hero in the game, you saved our franchise and I watched you in game 4 from the 8th row crying when you shot that 84-82 shot. Gonna miss you and hope you stay in portland forever.

B-Roy, thank you for bringing the hope to Portland again, for bringing something to wait for. Thank you for all these gamewinners and amazing performances, which I'll never forget - against Houston, Phoenix, Dallas and many more. Thank you for posterizing David Lee, killing Cheikh Samb and finishing an inbound tomahawk alley-oop from Rudy. Thank you for all these one-of-a-kind stepbacks and crossovers. Thank you for picking Caron Butler's and the Wizards' pocket 10 times in one game. Thank you for putting such a pressure on Andre Miller, that he scored 52 being afraid of a trade. For these 5 years, I felt really happy, being a witness of miracles you've done on the court for this team. All this despite of watching it from 5000 miles away.
Your jersey is already retired in my room. You'll be missed, but never forgotten, Mr. Trail Blazer.

I, as a lifelong fan of the Blazers, thank you for what you brought back to our city. Your class, determination, and poise, transformed the team back to what truly represents this city, and what we want the Blazers to represent to the rest of the NBA. You will truly be missed on the court, but I hope that this doesn't mean you stay out of basketball. I truly think you would be a fantastic asset to the NBA as a liaison with new players, and how they should conduct themselves. Again, Thank You!

My favorite moment of watching the amazing Brandon Roy was going for 50 against the Suns, but not the fact that he scored so many points but how his teammates responded to it. They were the most happy people in the building, that is a sign of a great leader. Whenever BRoy was on the court the entire team truly believed that they always had a chance. All Blazer fans will miss that winning quality within him!

Brandon you were the man for us for years. This is awful news cuz of your ability to take the game over. We're gonna miss that along with your personality and leadership. That all being said, this is just a game. A game you'll be able to teach your kiddos. That's far more important. Be with your family my friend. Just please come back and do some kind of coaching for us. We need your ball IQ. I'm a Duck, but today go Dawgs!

My favorite Brandon Roy memory is in the 2008-2009 season against the Houston Rockets. We were down by a point with .9 left on the clock and he got the ball and threw it up and hit it for us to beat the Rockets in overtime!! Definitely the most memorable game I have ever been to!!

My favorite memory of Roy is yet to come - Opening night 2011 when the number "7" jersey is raised high above the Rose Garden for everyone to remember the man who awoken Rip City and brought faith back to the faithless.

Thank you Brandon for everything you've put in. May you always be remembered as one of the Blazer greats.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
