    Hello,
No offense first of all. But when did cheering for your team need to be organized by a group of people and voted on? For 40 years I think the Portland fans have done an excellent job of "Winging it". If you want to start chants I'm all for it but it shouldnt be a handed out document that people have to follow. The chants have been there since the beginning they will be there till the end. And trust me I am one of the biggest fans and am all for chanting but trying to manipulate them I am against.

I think thats offensive and rude. These guys are on thier job and trying to do thier best for the most part. Sometimes they make mistakes, dont we all? Chant "Terrible call" Sucks is a playground word. Grow up.

I get what you're saying, but lets be realistic. As far as the chants go, they really aren't "winging it." How is this any less winging it than having it flash across the jumbo-tron? The whole point of this group is to be one of the first groups of fans to actually encourage active creativity amongst the fans and encourage new chants to be used on a large scale rather than being one voice in a sea of 20,000 hoping to be heard. Yeah, there have been some chants that have been there forever, and I'm not saying we get rid of "DE-Fence" or any of the others. I'm just saying I was inspired by listening to the rabid fans of English League Soccor and would love to have that same environment here at the Rose Garden (except without the hooliganism). It is about allowing those who haven't had their faces plastered on Blazers merchandise a chance to feel some ownership in the gametime activities. You see, if we all painted our faces and wore afros, we'd just be copying you. If everyone made novelty group jerseys, they'd just be copying me, and if everyone dressed up as different movie characters all Blazerfied, they'd just be copying Darth. This gives them one other way to be a major part of each and everygame. I have to admit, I am a little surprised that you are so against it. As far as the document goes, the hope is that if we get enough voices behind the new chants then maybe we can get them on the jumbo-tron so everyone else can follow along. We never really vote, the only thing we've voted on was what day our get together was going to be and site traffic has been so down that it got lost. We've discussed positives and negatives of each one, and frankly I agree about your refs comment, but that's just because we don't want to throw ones in that might not be family appropriate or ones that may be too difficult to get 20,000+ individuals to follow along with. That's the whole point of it. Allowing one voice, one creative person, a forum to be heard by as many fans as we can find.

Well the season is officially underway. I noticed that they are playing the Ole Ole song when Rudy does something but the arena is so loud that nobody ever hears it. I almost didn't hear it over the speakers. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the games so far and I hope they can keep this momentum going. Anyway, now that the season is underway, I would love to get those creative juices flowing again! Be on your toes, keep watching the games and I hope something inspires you! Rip City!

I was thinking. Maybe on those games when the refs are "influencing" the result, we could just chant "Don-na-hey." Or maybe "Jake O' Donnell." I sort of see Donaughey as the Jose Canseco of this whole situation. He's still a sleezeball, but he's now a somewhat honest sleezeball where as everyone else is simply a coward.

Or Dallas keeps pick and drafts a foreign player meaning he does not count against the cap. No one is just going to give up a mid level first round pick even in a weak draft for 2 mid second round picks in an even weaker second round of a weak dra...
