How many times has that guy stepped up and kicked Kobe's tail? Huh? How many times?? A lot! Look at our record against the allmighty Lakers since Blake's been here. Yes, I understand, having Brandon helps a little too, but whenever the Lakers came around, Blake would jump all over Kobe like a Vanilla Chinchilla!!

Understanding the nature of the business I get it..I do hate seeing Steve go..Hopefully it could be a temporary thing. All three players are in expiring contracts. We needed a Big Man in the middle. Marcus can and will fill the void. Hopefully Steve will want to come back here after his short stay on the Lakers JV squad.

Steve will be missed, ... and most Blazer fans will continue to root for him, and follow his career, where ever he goes in the League. Good luck, Steve.

Definitely could have used a little Steve Blake to get the offense going last night. He may not be a shot blocker, but he has played some spetacular defense this season in close games. I hope we can get him back again at the end of the season, we need him!

We could have used both Blake and Travis last night! I agree in the short run we needed Camby and once he gets used to the plays and the guys it will be better. But I still miss Travis and Steve, ;-)

It's funny, when the Blazers played the Slippers all was forgotten here when it comes to trading Blake. Last night the Blazers played a REAL TEAM in the Celtics and now you all see my point, trading Blake my have been a mistake! Look at how the team was ran last night without Blake. If you watched the game I don't have to go into details about what a mess the offense was. This is just a sample of what you can expect when Portland plays the good teams. As far as Roy goes, he hobbled around all night. I'd rather see Patty Mills play. Miller and Bayless were good, but they aren't point guards. LA just became overwhelmed in the inside, it's gonna take Camby some time to ajust. I'm starting to believe that coach Mac is the major reason why Portland is so up and down this year. I know he's had to deal wilth all the injuries, but as a fan you expect the Blazers to play better than that mess we saw last night. This isn't New Jersey is it?

It might be Nate needs something else to inspire and motivate this team now that we are running close to 100%. I would like to think Blake and Outlaw would of made a difference last night but the whole team was out of it and this team is so connected that way when two or three guys aren't feeling it, it rubs off on the entire team like a horrible plague. I will say that out of all the PGs Blake knows how to run Nate's system the best he won't drive the lane and get to the FT line, he won't make silly fouls, he won't put up 50+ pts. but if you want to execute he does that better than the other PGs. Thats what i'll miss about Blake.

There was an obvious lack of composure by our Blazers the other night. When that happens, you need a point guard, or in our case 2 solid point guards. Andre just isn't enough to keep the team disciplined. Blake was needed.

BLAKE WAS NEEDED AGAINST UTAH. The team is lost without him. Too bad a nice performance by Camby was wasted although the Blazers did give up 50+ points in the paint!!! Did I hear that right?

Totally. Sometimes you need a PG to run sets, not just hand the ball over to Roy when he is hamstrung, no pun intended. I think Canby is a great addition, but I stick by trading Oden and cash for Canby; I can't imagine that wasn't an option.

I'd go for that in a second. I joked earlier about trading Oden for a half a bag of popcorn and got grilled, but frankly, I'd bet every team in the NBA would hesitate to acquire Oden based on the simple fact he is and probably aways will be, damaged goods.

Also, you need a big man who consistantly sets screens, like Joel. No other Blazer sets screens like he does. He frees up guards so they can make the pass or shoot an open shot. As I watch the games this is one area of the Blazer offense that is missing, thats why they look so disoriented so much of the time when running a play. I hope we get Joel back at 100% for next year.
