Just read an article by Jason Quick saying that LMA was unhappy and looking to move. This was my first NBA season, ergo now my first NBA offseason and I'm unfamiliar with all the rumours and stuff. You guys think this is true? There was discussion for Noah and Deng for LMA. Also LMA for 10 and 19th pick. Not what the deals brings that scares me, but that there has been so much talk. Is LMA really looking to move?

I am a fan of Raymond Felton. Haha, seriously though I'm a fan of Batum's Lobs and JJ's Slams.

you guys need to calm down. weak draft = tons of baseless trade rumors. cavs also tried to make a move for kevin love which im sure was laughed at. blazers want deandre jordan which would be nice. blake griffin was reportedly offered along with eric bledsoe i believe in a sign and trade for d12. rumors are called rumors for a reason. chad ford is credible maybe 10% of the time and i think that's being generous. i believe somebody will be moved but i would be shocked if it was LA. more likely wes or even batum.

If we lost Aldridge Neil olshey is going to make it to where it benefits us. Olshey won't let him walk because of his the little salary cap he would get. Aldridge is worth $18 million a year and he's only getting like $13 next year. Trade him to the bulls for deng and Noah and the 2016 draft pick we can include mathews since Barton can cover the back up two as a very good scorer even a decent rebounder. Move batum to the 2 deng as the 3 draft zeller and resign maynor.

    lillard/maynor/ second rounder

    batum/Barton

    deng/second rounder

    zeller/free agent/ second rounder

    noah/ meyers

getting rid of mathews will get us charlottes 2016 first rounder. Charlotte is not expecting to be any good for years to come, that pick could get us a top 3 pick. Draft a powerforward or center then trade Noah for a powerforward when the time comes. Chicago will help us get to the playoffs and then make us championship contenders in 2016 if the first rounder becomes what a top 3 pick should be all star capable. The second rounders are cheap salaries to fill in roster space. You never know one can turn into a star.

Forgot claver and freeland had to change draft choices. Sign Elton brand to help shore up the 2 unit defense.

    Batum/Barton/ second rounder
    Deng/ claver/ second rounder

I believe from what I read was that if we did not make any improvements he would want to be traded to Dallas. So I am going to take that with a grain of salt. Question: Would you want to be traded if Portland does not improve this year? Answer: Yeah probably I would like to go to Dallas. Reported: LA wants to be traded to the Mavericks.

I don't give much stock to newsies anymore unless it happens and even than you have to look at the same story from at least 4 other sources to get half the truth. If we do trade LA we would HAVE to get a center out of the deal otherwise it would be a lousy  trade.

Well getting Deng and Noah isn't exactly rebuilding it's kind of making the playoffs, also why does trading LA mean we'll be worse off, last time I checked the Nuggets got better without Melo (I'm not saying they're better than the Knicks so don't freak out), and the grizzlies got quite a bit better with Tayshaun Prince over Rudy Gay, and I'm not saying we should definitely trade him but if he wants out and we have an opportunity to get something good in return, it might have to be done.

Deng and Noah would be nice. Chicago would have to move Carlos to the 5 since LA dislikes that position even though he's more efficient at the 5. Only way I see this happening if we throw in our 2014 draft pick and maybe a 2015 second rounder. That would take our remaining cap and give us a title contending team.

    lillard/McCollum

    Mathews/barton

    batum/crabbe/claver

    deng/freeland/whithey

    noah/leonard

this team scream championship potential, hopefully deng can defend the four. Anyone know if he can?

Oh I forgot to mention deng and Noah are high minute users so Leonard can slide to the 4 to play alongside Noah and play the 5 with deng. Leonard looks to have made the improvement in size. McCollum was said to be good at defense which will help out extremely and if lillard made improvements to his defense under Gary Payton over the summer, idk how well crabbe will transition but it should be an easy one with the pieces around him. Our backcourt has a ton of firepower on offense with lillard, McCollum, mathews spacing the floor, Barton's scoring ability, batum knocking down shots off screens. This will be a very good club and it fits cap wise. This team will also be the 2nd best in defense in the west if the not the best contending with the grizzlies, but we will have a offense to compliment it. All it cost is Aldridge and a couple draft picks for the center we want, and a lockdown defensive player in deng.

Not gonna happen. Did you know that two years ago, LMA attempted 175 dunks. This year, 62 dunks. 2.8 times less. Last year he attempted like 58.

LMA needs to be more crafty. His jumper is great but it would be better if his matchup had to defend him both near the rim and beyond that. Right now, he's all jump shots and seems allergic to getting it done on the block. I think he can be better if he changes it up a little. Nowitzki is great at mixing it up. Lebron became a new force when he added wrinkles to his offensive game. LA should do the same. He is so good inside that I'm surprised he's almost abandoned that part of his offensive game. I know Stotts wants the floor spaced, but if LA is inside we could get more offensive boards and easy buckets. It will make it easier for our shooters if he plays on the block just a little more. Like I say, he should mix it up. If he does, we' ll be better all around

And, Lamarcus was one of the best offensive rebounders in the league. This year, with his improved defensive rebounding, he would have been 20-10 for sure. I like that he takes more jumpers, but not so much that he rarely goes on the block anymore.

I would give up McCollum/Wes/Nico and one of our recent draftees, and a future pick for Asik. We can always get scorers from free agency.

yeah not sure i would give up 2 starters and would keep mccollum if possible i would say either or. but cap space doesn't mean as much since so many teams have it this year so im not worried about batum's contract. but asik is definitely not a scrub

Come on guys, no one is that stupid. I used a slash. As in Cj, OR, Wesley, OR Batum, and one of the draftees and future picks. And Asik is not a scrub, one of the best defenders and rebounders.

    This just in.........

[LaMarcus Aldridge's] agency has suggested Aldridge landing with the Bulls, among others, sources said. At issue is the Trail Blazers want a center - at least - in return, and the Bulls won't part with Joakim Noah. In this hypothetical, because no terms have been discussed, the Trail Blazers also likely would ask for Jimmy Butler and/or the Bulls' first-round pick from Charlotte, which could be fully unprotected in 2016. Maybe teams thought he had limited post moves. Idk anything about but he only had one defensive highlight so was he a defensive liability? His only skll seemed to be offensive rebounding and over powering smaller opponents. NBA is bigger and faster so he wouldn't transition very well most likely

I have personally not renewed an apartment lease; and it costs more money, but month to month freedom is a pretty good feeling.  For several years, the media and the organization has been wanting LA to be more and more of a leader.  Now He is being a leader and saying that the organization itself needs to step up and get better.  Either that or it is the media itself saying that the organization needs to step up to provide better nation wide stories.

Blazers lost the last 9 or 10 of the season last year. There are no bigs to help in the post, and Paul allen wont spend a dime to improve the roster. I'd be looking trade also.

Players want to win, fans want to win and we haven't done that since 2001. Unless we get at least a second tier veteran center and make a push into the playoffs this year, I would not expect LA to hang around past 2014.

I do not expect Dwight Howard to entertain Portland Offers, after his year last year we don't want him anyway but Al Jefferson would be a great piece for this club.
