Should we draft him? He is a legit big man, no idea about his defensive game, but he is not athletic and that is always good in my book. Polished offensively, good rebounder. Takes away the option of trading the pick, but we get a decent big man out of it. What do you think?

Check this video out, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UYG1Ksrnm4. Looks like another Meyers Leonard.

Olynyk would just be another soft poor defending big who does not make this team better.

I agree with you cmeese. Freeland is closer to having an NBA game than this kid.

Yeah I saw 20 something minutes and 7 something rebound and I thought he was good. My bad. Eye test, never fails. Things you can count on in the NBA, Tim Duncan, bad officiating with marquee teams, and Gonzaga busts.

If we draft a big, I think I'd prefer Alex Len (assuming he doesn't go before we pick) or Rudy Gobert. Rudy and Nic would obviously get along well and might enhance each others' games. Both of the guys I mentioned are natural shot-blockers and have defensive timing/instincts. At the same time, I don't know that drafting a big is the way to go. I think the #10(ish) might be a great way to get a cheap, effective back up for Dame.

Haha, just because they are from france? I would like Diaw. He is a decent defender, and can hit the three. Did you see how he came over and double teamed Curry when he drove to the basket in the final play of regulation in game 1? That was really smart. He took out his driving lane, but still managed to be close out on his own man, and pressured Curry enough to take a bad fadeaway.

Len is not that great he has great size and length but how does someone 7'1 with a 7'6 wing span only get 7 rebounds per game in college. He is also more of a long term project we cannot wait while two centers slowly develop.

That's a good point, cmeese. That's kind of where I was going with drafting a backup PG. Meyers might start one day, but there's no reason that a number 10 pick from this year would be ready to start if our number 11 pick from last year isn't. That said, I wouldn't hate another true center on this squad, even if we get a starter in FA.

I'm with Mike Rice on this one, the pick gets traded in a deal for a center.

Dieng has a lot of defensive upside so I expect him to rise quickly with a good combine

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
