Do we need to start thinking about replacing Stotts?   Personally I do not think he is capable of building a Championship Team as he has no clue about Team Defense.

Get Jerry Sloan in here or Bring in Brian Shaw!

I do not fault Stotts as much as the situation he finds himself facing.  I've stated before, I believe Stotts is simply a "stop-gap", a token head coach while Nate's contract continues to be paid off.  It's about cash.  That said, I DO believe this team tried in earnest to land a premier coach before "settling" on Stotts and going both feet in with this money saving venture.  Just my opinion.

How much do we have left on Nate's contract?

Add an elite assistant coach to pair with Stotts and there will be marked improvement. Free agent coaches are a small group and I think Sloan's out of the game for good. Van Gundy, McMillan, Westphall, Brown, Ewing and a few others. I'd like to see Bill Laimbeer on our bench.

@riverman...excellent point, and I agree fully. I too would LOVE to see Laimbeer here in an assistant role. That would be a HUGE hire, and one I firmly believe would pay almost immediate dividends.

I would like to see how good of a coach Stan Van Gundy could be without a legit superstar. LA is great but Dwight Howard, Shaq or D. Wade he is not.

According to basketball reference Stan Van Gundy is the 14th best offense coach of all time with a team average 2.69 above the league average offensive rating. While he posted the 7th best defensive number with -3.02 below the league average.

I am sure having Alonzo Morning, Shaq, and Wade on one team and D. Howard on another helped inflate his defensive acumen but those numbers are still impressive.

Him just doing the drills and playing showed more for me than whatever issues he might have shown.

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
