During the break between the 3rd and 4th quarters of the Laker vs OKC game, Van Gundy stated that teams below .500 shouldn't be on National TV (refering to Portland playing on NBATV and TNT this upcoming week).  He may have a point.  I know I have felt that way when the Blazers were over .500 and weren't getting their time.

The Lakers are 9-10.  And after the OKC loss, 9-11.  They've played 12 of 20 games at home, and never more than 3 road games in a row at a time.

    * Lakes travel on one 7 game, and one 4 game road trip all season, the rest being 3 or less.

    * Portland travel on one 7 game, one 6 game, one 5 game, and one 4 game road trip, and the rest being 3 or less.

I guess I agree with VanGundy.  Why are we being forced to watch a sub .500 Lakers team?

Yeah but Lakers can lose every next season and still have 20 games broadcasted... :/

I completely disagree with VanGundy. There are 30 teams in the NBA, and 12 of them are below .500, 5 are at .500 right now. That leaves only 13 teams above .500 (and there's no guarantee they'll stay that way). Incidentally, most teams above .500 are those that have been able to buy talent or have been given favors by everyone time and time again. Broadcasting even more games for those teams would cause even more revenue, making the rich richer. It would start a cycle which would end in 82 Heat games on national television. So you could only get on TV when you played AGAINST Miami. Horrible idea.

That's what happens when fired coaches get paid to talk.

I also wonder if Jeff thinks sub 500 coaches turned commentators shouldn't be on national TV.

LMMFAO!   I was just laughing at the irony of him saying that while watching the sub .500 Lakers lose another game.

Disagree with this. Every team should be able to play on National TV at least once a season. And I don't know about you, but I get tired of seeing the Heat and Lakers every other game.

I was only pointing out the irony.  I don't actually agree with him and I don't enjoy watching the Fakers, or Kobe ball hog his way to any result no matter their record, which this year has led to losses.

In games Kobe scores 28 points or more, the Fakers are  3-11.

In game Kove scores 27 or less, the Fakers are 6-1 (losing only their home opener vs Dallas)

My favorite kobe game this season..he scores 40 pts has 10 turnovers the rest of the team scores total 37pts and they lose to the kings.

Rumors have shown that the Rockets are very interested in Dwight Howard and that the interest is mutual.

    I''d trade for Asik.

Jeremy Lamb? I definitely think he was buried in OKC''s bench, so i don''t know how good he really is. I know he is amazing in 2K though.

Sanders better shotblocker, better dunker and around the rim, Asik better defensively. I think Asik will have the better career.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
