DUMP JOEL FREELAND AND HIS MISSING OFFENSE

    I have to give credit for this idea to BDAWG.

    We need some instant defense who can give us more of a spark.  Waive Joel freeland and bring back Chris Johnson. 

    Or do a trade with Milwaukee and bring back Joel Prybilla.

    I'm with you, Joel isn't producing but if you've watched the Bucks, Pryz is playing really bad ball right now...I'll pass on Pryz..Chris Johnson was just waived and he might help us out, at least he can score. I'd even send Freeland to Idaho and bring in Lauderdale to see if it's an upgrade. Teams are taking Nic and Damian out of the game now with scouting and our bench players are not picking up the slack. We do not, however need Pryz in crutches on the bench and more than that, we need bench scoring

    Would love to bring back Chris Johnson. Can we waive Freeland?? 

    He is pretty useless right now. Cant do anything on the court and no one would really take him in a trade unless its involving someone in our starting line up. Which I wouldnt do unless it is for a star.

    The only option is to send him to Idaho or buy out his contract..I'd send him to Idaho

    I agree send him to Idaho and pick up Chris Johnson. We'd be winning more games if we had some bench production and I think Chris would be able provide some.

    Didn't we just get Joel? How about instead of letting Joel go, we release Luke Babbitt and bring Chris in. Why did we get rid of him again? I was pretty let down when I heard we didn't sign him.

    I'd give him time to adjust to the speed, HUGE difference, but maybe this game just isn't for him.

    Has anyone filed a missing person's report for Victor Claver? Where has he been !?!

    Send Freeland and I other to d League, bring Chris Johnson Back and try and gte Pryz.  Yea he is playing bad in Milwaukee right now, but he gives to Portland an intangible and that is toghness and heart.  There is someting about seeimg him in a Blazer uniform that brings out the best in him.

    We invested in Joel back in 2007. We're a month into his NBA rookie season. If you ran a business and hired a guy contingent on 5 years of training, would you fire him after a month just because you're not all that sure he'll work out? Come on now.

    He brought it tonight! glad to see him playing instead of thinking. Congrats to our bench..29pts is a step in the right direction!

    Agree with everything here but releasing Babbitt. Remembering this is a business, keep in mind Luke's contract was very similar to Nic's before Batum was resigned AND, is expiring, making him an extremely valuable chip in a trade. So much so in fact, I believe he is most likely to be dealt before the deadline. Luke's last minutes as an NBA player may be in a Blazer uniform.
