Im not a fan of Hawes or Babbit. Im certainly not a fan of keeping both Babbit and Morrison. If i had to choose one, it would be Morrison.

I would however trade: Babbit,Jeffries,Sasha, and Claver for
    Detroit Pistons Center: Greg Monroe.

    Lillard/Smith/Price
    Matthews/Smith/Barton/Batum
    Batum/Morrison/Barton
    L.A./JJ/Freeland
    Monroe/Leonard/Freeland/Hickson/L.A.

This is the guy im waiting for.

The Thunder have until Oct. 31 to get Harden signed to a contract extension. Otherwise, he'd become a restricted free agent next summer. And while everyone wants to keep the party that led to a Finals appearance going, there's a chance they may not be able to afford Harden.

We better be positioning ourselves to make a run at this kid.

    Harden would be great.

I do like Greg Monroe a lot. If we would want to pursue him I think it would require Meyers Leonard.
Sasha, Jeffries, Meyers, future second rounder for Monroe might get him. Maybe, Detroit holds him highly.

I wouldnt give THAT much for Hawes and Wright. Hawes can defend. Wright cant shoot good anymore. I would give Hickson, Jeffries, and some second rounders. That is all. Not Freeland and Hickson or multiple first round picks.

Dorrel Wright is still a good option for a back up SF.  Corey Brewer wouldnt be bad either.  Players I would like but dont think would be traded are ZAZA Pachulia and Mareese Speights.

No disrespect MrFab... but absolute NO on that trade dude.

You've taken away the only vet/floorcoaching presence we had at the Point, practically given away our "Steal of the Draft" and one of the best SF's in the league, and packaged away our toughest/ONLY banger with some of the few picks we'd have to make roster adjustments in the future...

And what do we get in return? Basically, Tyreke Evans and some change, none of which really improve our roster, and even Evans hasn't really lived up to the hype in my opinion. But seriously, looking at the lineup you list; our point guard rotation needs another player, our SF and C rotations are less than what they are right now (Hawes is overrated, and not a single one of those SF's is a comparable quality player when we already have one of the best in Batum and a legit talent in Barton), and I'm not even gonna call that PF lineup a legit rotation! You can't seriously be expecting BABBITT to back up Aldridge are you?

With a roster full of young players, the last thing we should be doing is going to battle with only 2 pg's and 2 centers. Our current roster provides wayyyyyy more flexibility and different lineups than the one you suggest, and just as much if not notably MORE offense. I agree that we need better D, but this is NOT how we will do it.

I like Common's idea alot more, I'd rather go after Monroe and package several EXPENDABLE players, than trying to trade away a good chunk of our team's punching power for Hawes and Evans. The math for that one just doesn't add up.

PLUS another problem with Fab's trade: Isn't there some clause with Nico's new contract that we can't trade him or we have to pay even more?

Offer Matthews, Babbitt, Clavier, and a future second rounder for Tyreke Evans and see what happens.

Of the above, I'm on board w/ Greg Monroe & commontongue's idea of how to get him (I'd do that all day long! :)  Please, no Hawes (under ANY circumstance; I saw him play as a rookie in summer league & the KID is a serious crybaby & chemistry no no) & give up no more/any1 else other than the players mentioned by commontongue for Monroe (I'm a fan of this guy; he's good & he's still getting better but IF it takes anything more, we pass.  I believe in Meyers!  Some ppl on here have compared him to David Robinson; he IS/was 1 of the greatest & classiest ppl/players ever & was he was a ton o' fun to watch! :).  Lastly, mbmurr1's trade... uh never; Evans is a trainreke!  Even IF Evans wasn't a chemistry nightmare (i.e. his "fast & the furious" joyride in Sac-town), his style of play & personality don't fit Portland or our Blazers.  "Offer Mathews... for Tyreke Evans and see what happens..." disaster.

No to trading for tyreke evans...lockerroom cancer..attitude problem, would have fit with the old jailblazers and Detroit will not trade Monroe any more than we'd trade Lillard. Ain't going to happen folks. Personally I'd wait until the trade deadline before blowing up the team and see what the guys we have can do. Only expendable on the roster is Babbit and I'd rather have Morrison than him anyday. Apparently Barbosa wants more money than we can shell out which is why we're filling in gaps with minimun salary players

I agree about Tyreke. I dont want him on our squad. Im hoping Drummond does well. So well that they look to move Monroe.I also agree about Morrison. Babbit's had his turn. He's lucky he isnt fighting for a roster spot on the Tazmanian  team like Armon Johnson is.

Hawes & D.Wright for JJ, picks and Freeland ?? That's hilarious. I hope Olshey never is going to be that insane to submit this.

We can't trade a lot of players because many of them are still unproven (that means we cannot get much out of those trades and in other hand we're gambling too much because they can have a lot of room to improve and we cannot afford a risk of losing talents)
    Examples :
Nolan Smith - not very useful last season but showed some promise of improvement
Will Barton - like we all know "steal of the draft" - no point to trade him until we'll see what he is capable of
Victor Claver - unproven but experienced in playing overseas , member of Spain 2012 silver medal team, may be very unique SF with 6'9" - wait and see
Joel Freeland - still underestimated until he show what he can do
JJ Hickson - we signed him for the great job he made last season,> If the organization well see him playing so well again - don't be surprised if we extend him unless we get a promising big man in upcoming draft (lottery?) so why we have to trade him ?
Wesley Matthews - consider as our piece of core for the coming season, we've heard a lot of rumours about him working heavily to improve
Nicolas Batum - another indispensable piece of core, just signed to a multi-year contract
Jeffries, Price, Pavlovic, Babbitt - don't present big market value , might be use as an additions to complete a trade

Most of the bad parts of this trade have been pointed out. I'm just going to throw out the impossible part of this trade: Batum. We matched a deal he signed. The rules say we can't trade him at all until the 2013-14 season.
