When most people think of seven-footers in the NBA, the assumption that they are unathletic, slow, and immobile. Well, Meyers Leonard bucks all of those stereotypes. I'm already excited to see the type of dunks he throws down at Fan Fest! And did you see how comfortable he is passing the rock out of the post? This kid could be the steal of the first-round.

Forget his hops. Look at his timing on blocks. And that jump hook over the left shoulder is already solid. When he works on his footwork, that thing will be automatic.

The passing is what stood out to me.  Pretty crafty for a 7 footer.

Passing was great, especially now with a PG that will actually cut to the rim.

I wonder if the police are looking for us because of this blatant first round theft.

This guy looks pretty good I hope he works out in the NBA For Portland. Can you imagine Hibbert,Meyers,LA in the frontcourt? The teams would come to Portland knowing they would have to face Hood,Rainier and Baker.

Hibbert would be a nice addition, dont' sound like it'll happen.  I hope Hickson resigns with Portland.  We need his muscle shoving his weight around... it's also why I hope Prz is re-signed too.  Thomas, Prz, Meyers, and Hickson all give portland some needed strength and good size to go with LA.

Watch the summer league b/c Portland's going to be working out a couple undrafted PF/C type's.  One from Greece, another Germany?  I forget.  They got pretty good size though.

Boards and blocks, boards and blocks. Let the offense come naturally. We need a garbage man in the middle more then anything right now.

Very good game against Hornets in terms of being noticeable around the rim. But because it's summer league I think it's the right time to see him more involved in low-post , making some close range hooks and being a popper.

Biggest thing that stood out to me in the hornets game was how he looked down court when he got a rebound, looking to star a fast break.

His game is going to become a cross between Chris Bosh and Arvydas Sabonis.  He's got the passing craftiness and shot blocking potential of Sabonis with the footwork and shooting potential of Bosh.  If he realizes that potential, which I'm confident he will based on his work ethic and athleticism, it's GAME OVER.

I can't  wait to see Meyers Leonard develop into a star center. He is super athletic for his position and he seems very  driven, dedicated and ready to compete. He has like 6% body fat, and he can put some more muscle on with NBA trainers in the training facility. I'm sure this kid will be an ALL-STAR eventually.

Refusing to play center for your team makes you a diva, Portland could be much better if LA moved to the 5 and we signed someone like Josh Smith or Paul Milsap to play the 4. Instead to pander to LA our targets are Zaza Pachulia, Samuel Dalembert,...

Howard would be fine if he was the same player he was in Orlando, but his back has really slowed him down and he is no longer the most dominant center in the league. His offense was always trying to dunk on people and getting fouled he has not imp...

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

Sanders is 6''11" Cailin he is about 5 pounds lighter than LA so his size should not be an issue.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
