okay. i think both these guys are going to be big time players in the NBA. i really really want both of them but have accepted we will probably only get one.  i am totally stuck as to who i would rather have. i'm almost leaning waiters though. the guy is nasty. i would be interested to hear perspectives and opinions on who the better player will be.  i know we are more in need of a PG than a SG so forget about that. let's just focus on the player regardless of need. i have a pretty good feeling one of these guys will be a blazer tomorrow.

I think Waiters is the better player, make the transition to the NBA quicker, and has more potential. Lillard would just fill a need Portland has to have.

Personally I would rather see Portland pass on both and trade up to get MKG, Barnes, or Beal.

After watching Waiter play he reminds me of Jamal Crawford. I don't want any more Ball chuckers.

Lillard he can and will score the ball at a high level. Im not saying waiters wont but they both can and we are in more need of a pg. I also dont think we need another 2 because i think ewill could be very good and of course  we have wes.

John Thompson the III and Greg Anthony are talking about Waiters now on NBA network and they're saying exactly what I been saying, that he's a strong guard, he'll attack, has a motor, gets to the hoop, he involves his teammates.

sug makes a good point and that's why I don't really want portland to take a SG in the draft; there's more pressing needs, but if the choice is really coming down to Lillard and Waiters, I want Waiters.  I actually think Waiters does a better job of involving other teammates, even tho he's not a point guard, he is good with the ball.  Plus he's as aggressive going to the hoop as Lillard and he's stronger.  As far as what I know about them defensively, Lillard has been lit up; he's no shut down defender.  As a 6-2 PG with long arms, he can get up in someone's face, but he's not a strong guy.  Waiters' strength allows him to put a body on guys.  I do think Waiters has an NBA frame and he's going to handle the rigors of the NBA.  I'm on the same side of the fence as Thompson III and Boeheim.

Dont think they trade him for JJ tho, they can just sign Hickson.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
