    *UPDATE*
    Via Chris Haynes-
It was speculated that Kentucky forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would be in attendance as well, but his agent, Rich Paul, says Kidd-Gilchrist will not workout for the Trail Blazers.

Kidd-Gilchrist – a projected top three pick – told CSNNW.com at the Chicago combine that he would workout for the Trail Blazers at some point, but he could have been mistaken.
    Via Chris Haynes-
Here's the entire list that he's reported will be in Portland for next week.
Kentucky standout Michael Kidd-Gilchrist says he has a workout scheduled w/ #Blazers next week. He's likely a top 3 pick. Someone moving up?

Washington G Tony Wroten will workout for #Blazers next week.

Weber State G Damian Lillard will workout for #Blazers next week.

Duke G Austin Rivers will workout for #Blazers next week.

Ohio State big man Jared Sullinger will workout for the #Blazers next week.
The main attraction would be Kidd-Gilchrist, a player whose intangibles, desire to win, leadership ability, and overall defensive prowess have scouts salivating at the opportunity to draft him. But, as Haynes mentioned, Portland would have to move up, likely into the Top 3 to acquire his draft rights. Would you move up in the draft for MKG, Rip City?

Besides Kidd-Gilchrist, what other prospect are you most excited about seeing workout for the Trail Blazers? I'd say for me it has to be Damian Lillard. A lot of mock drafts have us picking up the 6-3 point guard who can flat out shoot the ball, but with him playing in the Big Sky, a lot of his games weren't televised so I'm really curious to see how he does during these workouts against the best the draft has to offer.

Lillard and MKG would be very nice to see.

I'm glad they are working out a top 3 pick. It means they are open to moving up or looking at any of the options available on draft day (especially since Olshey made it pretty clear the Blazers will be making picks rather than trading for veterans).

Call me crazy but I'm also happy to see them working out Sullinger and Rivers. I'm not sure either of them was able to showcase their potential this past season, and I think there's a chance the staff will notice something brilliant in one of them.

While I haven't been digging the PG acquisitions the last couple of years, I think it's an obvious move--albeit a good one--to workout Damian Lillard. There's a high chance he will be the best player available when Portland is on the clock, so the staff will want to see what he can do.

this is what we should do

    matthews for pick 9
pick 6  or 11and babit and armon and a pick 2nd rd pick +cash for 2 or 3

pick 2 or 3 pick mkg
    pick 9/6 pick lillard
    pick 11/9 for marshell

then let the pg's battle for starting postion
then  we can invest money into a center like al jefferson (not sure about the assets) or mcgee, or kaman, lopez (saves money and gears us for 2 or 3 yrs)

Take MJ out get him drunk and gambling once he owes you a whole bunch of money which he will since he is a terrible gambler hold it over his head for a reduced price for the #2 pick

Any chance that Lillard could work the 2 spot?

You do realize that this year's PG class isn't even half of what it was last year, right? It seems that the most NBA ready draft candidates are forwards and centers. I'll agree that Marshall has great court vision, and Lillard is a good scorer, but neither should be running the Blazers. Good PGs start out as backups to great PGs, so we're doing those kids a disservice by drafting them to a team that might not have ANY PGs on the roster until Free Agency closes. The only way I would agree with drafting a PG is if (A) he is the best player available or (B) Portland also gets Steve Nash.

I could see Portland using a three guard lineup in certain situations.

    *UPDATE*
As reported by Chris Haynes, Connecticut center Andre Drummond will be in Portland for a workout next week but Florida shooting guard, Bradley Beal will not workout for the Trail Blazers. That's not because the team doesn't like Beal or is trying to throw other teams off, its simply because Beal is only working out for the top teams in the draft.
Florida's guard Bradley Beal -- who's considered a top 10 pick -- will not be one of the players working out for the Trail Blazers. His agent, Mark Bartelstein tells CSNNW.com that Beal will only workout for the teams at the top of the draft.

If we trade mathews for #9 assuming the other team wants to do the trade also then we would end up with #6, #9, and #11.  We definitely need to get a pg and if possible a center and a sg to take mathews place.  So our draft would go something like this:#6 Lilliard, #9 Waiters, #11 Meyers.  with a possible tweek hear and there.

Lets just keep in mind and if pritchard is the new general manager of the Indiana Pacers then we need to keep in mind his capabilities and possible deals.  I do not want Portland to get Pritched.  What is that phrase we use to use when Kevin out foxed someone?

How far could we move up if we traded #11 and Mathews?  If we say top 5 I think we should do it but it may be wishful thinking.

I am convinced that regardless if we make a deal for MKG or not we need to protect #6 to get a point guard.  If we manage to do this we would have both MKG and Lilliard now you can tell I am stretching into wishful thinking.  The only problem with this line is we do not have a center so the FA market would have to be used to get someone like Hawes, Al Jefferson, or Okafur.

I'm with that line of thinking. We need two bonafide studs out of this draft. Robinson/Beal/MKG + Lillard would be a great start to rebuilding. Also, Okafor is not a FA. He has tow years left on his deal.

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
