    This is an interesting fact. Why would a player on the Blazer's roster all-of-a-sudden have an official jersey on sale for half the price as it was just a few weeks ago? Could it be that Martel will be traded sometime in the near future? It seems like something might be going on...

    I don't see another team willing to make a trade involving Martell until he actually plays on the foot.

    It seems though, that there is always a team in the league willing to pay waaaaay too much for a player just because they are "rebuilding" or "starting over."  Martell could be traded to a team that is in that scenario.  Even though Martell has 3 years left on his contract, a team looking to get rid of some big paydays could end up taking Martell and then flushing him if he doesn't work out in 3 years.  The Suns would be a team that would be in a position to obtain him.  Even if they kept Amare, they would not be anywhere close to the Playoffs within 3 years.  Maybe we could get a Barosa or another player that doesn't cost as much...

    No more trade talk... According to oregonlive, he is changing his number back to 23 which he wore in high school.  He couldn't wear it when he first became a blazer because Darius Miles was putting a disgrace to that number.

    Thank you so much for posting that Jackson. Has put my mind at ease. I don't want to lose Martell whatsoever. Looks like we could have someone gracing the 23 next season then instead of DISgracing it like Darius did.
    I am a fan of not being a fan of the close season :)

    I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
