One of Portland's best records in the past decade was 2008-2009 (54-28) where Steve Blake was indeed the starter. McMillan loved how he played and had confidence in him. Blake didn't turn the ball over much and facilitated nicely. Granted, this was also when the blazers had Brandon Roy...

I said it last week on the board.  Felton for Blake and McRoberts.  Not sexy but it works

Blake is not the answer, jsut as he wasn't the answer the previous two stints. we need to upgrade and this doesn't do it.

This is terrible if Portland cannot get any real value from Felton then they should keep him and relish the 7.6 mil in cap room this off-season.

Not a fan of Blake.  He can't keep his feet, loses balance defensively trying to stay in front of his opponent.  While here and on the floor, Portland's defense was repeatedly broken down and the bigs were always in foul trouble.  More of an undersized 2 than a 1.  Feel this is an example of making a trade just to make a trade.

As you coaches out there all know...the first rule of defense is stop the ball.  I don't feel Blake can in this guard-oriented league.  Sorry, just my opinion.

What value do you think Felton has?  You get apples for apples in this world.

Felton is head and shoulders above Steve Blake. Plus he only has one year left so we have nothing to lose if we keep him. Whereas Blake is a worse player and is under contract for a ridiculous 4 mil a year for the next 3 years. Portland gains nothing from an old salary cap eating PG. Unless of course we are trying to become a lottery team again.
