i know everyone doesnt think he will fit in but you all dont see what is really wrong. he had to play SF this year due to martell being out. he is a PF and always has been no way getting past it. if you look at htis season he was much better when at his natural position then at SF. those who say hes to short to play PF dude has like a 100 foot vertical he could guard yao (not really but dude has hops) and if you htink hes to scrawny most PFs in the league right now are looking to fading away and squaring up rather than backing down, which requires more spped and agileness than strength (and also aldridge isnt that tough either.)

The biggest problem I see with him being at PF is he is playing behind Aldridge.  I'd leave LMA in there as much as possible which leaves Travis very little time at PF.   I agree he does great playing at PF, but the minutes just aren't there.

he wont have as many minutes but he backed lma alot this year too and had good minutes. the best way and the good hting to do for blazers to do is trade frye and thatll free up backup pf to travis because nate had that positionall tangle and had several people there in one game once travis getssole possession on pf backup then others can do other things

thanks hobbes btw didnt think bout lma time but i think he only does bout 34 mins per game
(btw trav can even backup cent sometimes he had to a few times this season when theyre playing people like lma or frye kind of people)

There are still plenty of minutes there, you don't want to run LMA into the ground. There are 48 minutes each game. LMA won't be playing more than 35 minutes a game and some of those minutes will probably be at Center. The problem with that is that he still isn't strong enough to defend the other PF's in the league. He needs the ball to be really effective which isn't good for a PF, he doesn't rebound which isn't good for a PF, and he doesn't USUALLY attack the basket which isn't good for a PF. Yes, I agree that offensively he was most effective AS a PF and I think he could do a decent job. With that said, I think with a true PF in that position Portland would fare better. I think Travis needs to be on a team that would better serve his talents, and his talents serve them. A team like a Golden State, LA Clippers, Sacramento, Orlando, teams that have an opening for someone who commands the ball. Portland has Brandon in the first unit, they have Rudy and Bayless in the second unit. They don't have an opening for him really. He isn't the best option for doing that. He does come through in the clutch, but the for the other 40 minutes a game he could be pretty frustrating. Bottom line there isn't much room for him on the floor here in Portland. He fits in in the lockerroom, but his talents are wasted there. Let him go where he can shine and make a career for himself.

I agree with RipCityRevival 100% about Outlaw. It's too bad, but true.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
