I would love the see the franchise honor Roy this season by having the team play with jerseys that don a number 7 patch, like how they honored the late great Maurice Lucas last season.

What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Either that, or retire his number (if they can, I don't know if a team can retire a number so soon after the player retires).

I agree. They should retire his number. Boston retired Bird's jersey the year he retired I believe, if not the next.

I think both I mean Lucas was retired in the stands and they had the patch so both would be awesome.

Guys, you wear the remebrance patch when somebody passes on.

B-Roy is still kickin', and ya'll might even run into him online, when playing the new Call of Duty.

I don't think B is ready for that ceremony just yet. He may or may not play but no doubt he'll be back in the NBA on some level. Certainly, for nothing short of being a hero, he deserves the honor. Heart goes out to him, not gonna lie it really hit me hard last night,

I agree with Tobyus.  No patch since that's reserved for when someone passes away.  But I definitely think a retirement ceremony should be in the near future.  I thought about it being on Opening Night, but A) I won't be able to be there and B) Bull Frog is right...just not quite time yet.  Maybe at the end of the season instead?  Whenever it happens, he no doubt deserves it.  Going to miss ya, B-Roy!

I am in favor of Kassandra's idea ^ and agree with those of you who believe the patch is a bit over the top.  I do feel that retiring Brandon's number is just, given the totality of his contributions to this organization.

Blaser, Fab Melo had 14 blocks in the D-League, you want him? Noel has good instincts, but he is waaay to weak to go up against NBA bigs. Like I said before, Deron Williams weighs more than him. He as already had a knee injury, and we know how tha...

Rip a cap hold is a number given to free agents. Basically the cap hold is added to the teams salaries at the start of free agency. So for example a team has 10 million in cap space but has 15 million in cap holds they are technically over the sal...

Noel was playing at around 220 so I doubt the added weight will slow him down too much the guy just needs to continue his rehab and hit the weight room and he will be fine.

As long as he stops pulling the ball down in the post I will be happy nothing more annoying than watching that happen several times a game

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
