Which Team Do You Want To Play In The Home Opener?
    Dallas (6)
     25%
    Denver (4)
     17%
    LA Lakers (8)
     33%
    Minnesota (3)
     12%
    Oklahoma City (0)
     0%
    Utah (2)
     8%
    Other (1)
     4%

With the 2011-12 NBA Schedule being released tomorrow on the 6th, it's time to start thinking of who you'd like to see the Trail Blazers open up the 2012 campaign with at the Rose Garden.

    Dallas
For the past two seasons, Portland was awarded the chance to get revenge on opening night. In 2009, the Trail Blazers defeated the Rockets who ousted them in the playoffs the spring prior and last year Portland dispatched the Suns who always eliminated the Trail Blazers from the postseason. Will it be three times in a row? Not only did many members of the Mavericks say the Blazers gave them their toughest series en route to their 2011 Championship but a lot of the same faces return for both squads. Would there be a better individual matchup than Aldridge v. Dirk?

    Denver
Not only are the Nuggets a divisional foe, but it would be the first time Andre Miller would be welcomed back to Portland. The two teams ironed out a deal on draft day which sent Dre to the Mile-High City for Felton so it would be interesting to see how the two point guards matched up against one another. Also, a lot of fans wanted to draft Kenneth Faried which would add another storyline to the plot.

    Los Angeles Lakers
    BEAT L.A. 'Nuff said.

    Minnesota
Portland has won, what 20 games in a row over the Wolves? Why not add more to the list? Also, it would be fantastic to see Aldridge go one-on-one against Kevin Love, a player who took one of the few All-Star spots away from LA this past. Let's not forget our friend and former coach, Rick Adelman, is now the man in charge in Minnesota and he has a new toy to play with in the form of Ricky Rubio who a lot of fans are anxious to see.

    Oklahoma City
Defending Northwest champs who always seem to make it a classic contest between the two squads. It would be a great start for the Trail Blazers to get a leg up on the Thunder for the division crown with a win over OKC.

    Utah
Regardless of Utah being without Deron Williams, Jerry Sloan, and missing out on the playoffs the season prior, they are still one of the arch rivals of the Trail Blazers. Devin Harris was another point guard rumored to Portland around draft day so it would be a good test to see how Felton measures out against Harris. Also, how well will their tandem of Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter look? It would be nice to get an early peek at how our bigs can match up against theirs.

I vote LAL.  It'd be nice to beat the Lakers, especially since they're now weak and completely done.

I would vote Dallas, since it'd feel like we never left. But it's gonna be Utah according to the schedule.

I vote Cleveland. I want to see Camby send the number-one pick's hopes and dreams crushed and thrown into the third row...

    ... On his first shot.
I am a fan of trading up for Victor Oladipo.

No one wants to see the Thunder? That's pretty surprising considering I think they are our biggest obstacle to winning the division.

I voted Denver. Fans can give Andre Miller a proper send off.

Any divisional game would be a nice way to start the season, I wouldn't mind seeing Dallas come back so Roy can get a nice start to the season. :)

The house of cards begins.  We will not know which centers become available until we know where some of the other centers land.  Binum, Splitter, Al Jefferson, Dwight Howard.  The only way that Asik becomes available is if Houston land...

Only two have a top tier Center (and Hibbert is very one-dimensional, so I''m not even sure if you can consider him a top tier). I''m not saying it doesn''t help, I''m...

That was before he had a chance to get Sanders or Nelrens Noel. Plus he is a GM hard to believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Potential out weighs them all are you serious OJ Mayo has more potential than Batum, then you add in what Landry and Barnes provide plus whatever 2 first round picks offer and it is not even close.

I would trade the pick, the team is in rebuild mode and I am not sure Burke is the guy I really want on my team. Since my team needs a PG a PF and maybe a SG depending on how they feel about Afflalo still.
