As some of you know, today marks the three-year anniversary of his passing back in 2008. In honor of the Duck, I thought it would be a cool idea to remember Kevin. Whether they are photos with him or of him, memories meeting him or watching one of his many amazing performance on the court, post your favorite Duck memory below.

My favorite memories of Duck are actually memories of my Grandma. She LOVED Duck! Whenever they played she would always drink ice water out of his DQ glass and every dunk was followed by a "hot dog!"

    RIP Duck and Gramma.

You didn't see the Duck floppin', tryin' to get the O-foul, I'll tell you that much right now. Dependable free throw shooter, great rebounder, solid court awareness. Couldn't leave him open, he had a great 15 footer.

One of my favorite moments of Kevin was a game towards the end of the 1992 season. We were at home playing the Spurs on NBA on NBC and it was for a chance to clinch the #1 seed out West I believe. We were without Drexler but Duck was up for the challenge. He scored 23 points, on 10-16 shooting, and had 12 rebounds in a 123-97 romping of San Antonio. But what I remember most was his teammates (mainly remember TP) "cooling him off" with a towel by fanning it towards him after he sat down on the bench because he was on fire that day. It was extra special because Duck was having a tough season and I think the critics got to him (what I read later on) and this game was a huge relief for Duck to go out and put together a great performance to show everyone that he's still got it.

Duck was a starter and All Star in the league for a reason yet he was for the most part underrated. He is definitely missed. His all round game was very good in his prime. Sometimes in life, you really don't know a good thing until it's gone.  I would take back the Harvey Grant trade anyday!

No doubt about it...as the Schonz would say.  Who could forget big Duck coming out of the tunnel ready to play in that series clincher against the Spurs in Memorial Coliseum, post wrist injury?  Remembering that moment even now, still sends chills throughout my body.  Miss ya big fella!

@D...I have that same glass, and in fact have the entire set.  Still derive humor in some of the likenesses in that Dairy Queen set, esp that of TP.:)

My favorite Duck moment occurred in Game 2 of the 1992 NBA Finals. After being destroyed by 30+ against Chicago in Game 1, Portland desperately needed a win. But it looked unlikely as Portland trailed by 8-10 late and Drexler just fouled out. But the team rallied back and had a chance to force overtime on with less than 30 seconds to play.

Porter dribbled up top to the bench side. Duck came over to set his patented pick. He rolled while Bill Cartwright stuck with Porter. With the season on the line, Duck received the pass from TP and calmly hit nothing but the bottom of the net to send the game into overtime which the team would eventually win.

I loved it when Duck would start the break by grabbing the rebound, throwing the outlet pass out to Terry and end up slamming it home as the trailer.

i'm going to try and relay this story i heard from my former neighbor right after Kevin passed away last year. i believe this happened in 1997 or 1998.

my friend was at Applebee's just north of clackamas town center sitting at the bar with a friend. Kevin came in with his girlfriend to pick up an order to go which he had called in and was waiting. a little boy, about 7 or 8 came around the corner and stood there in awe. my friend saw the kid then called to Kevin and told him the boy wanted to say hi to him. Kevin walked over to the boy, knelt down and talked to the boy for a few minutes.

i loved hearing that story. i barely remember Kevin playing, but i love how he appreciated his fans in that kind of way.

Agree with you 200% Siccolo. He fouled Rubio on that potential game winner, no call. He just fell when he hurt his knee, they call a foul on his defender. He has been helped by the refs so often, and if anyone says he wasn''t, I got a boatload of ...

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.

Paul Allen might sell the Blazers but the Blazers will never leave Rip City.
