    2010-11 Starters:

    PG: Andre Miller
    SG: Wesley Matthews
    SF: Gerald Wallace
    PF: LaMarcus Aldridge
    C: Marcus Camby

    Bench:

PG: Patty Mills - Armon Johnson
SG: Brandon Roy - Rudy Fernandez - Elliot Williams
SF: Nicolas Batum - Luke Babbit
    PF: Earl Barron
C: Chris Johnson - Greg Oden

Next season (lock-out or not) Starters:

PG: Patty Mills/Armon Johnson (They both have a future)
SG: Wesley Matthews/Brandon Roy (Good shooters)
    SF: Gerald Wallace (Defensive)
    PF: LaMarcus Aldridge (Star player)
    C: Greg Oden (Rebounding/Blocks)

    Bench:

    PG - Armon Johnson/Patty Mills
SG - Bradon Roy - Elliot Williams
SF - Nicolas Batum - Luke Babbit
    PF - Earl Barron?
    C - Greg Oden - Chris Johnson

I want the Trail Blazers to trade/waive/D-league:

Andre Miller: Trade for 1st/2nd round draft-pick - The Trail Blazers don't need him anymore and he's 35, they can't rely on him.

Rudy Fernandez: Trade for 1st round draft-pick or another player - He's an inconsistent shooter. He's only a good player when he's shooting hot, which is rare.

Marcus Camby: Trade for 1st/2nd round draft-pick - He has no offense, too slow, and getting old.

Earl Barron: Trade for 2nd round draft-pick, waive, or send down to D-League - The Trail Blazers don't need him, simple as that.

    Potential Players:

    Luke Babbit:
The Good - He could be a good scorer and is a good shooter
The Bad - He has poor defense he is too soft

    Armon Johnson:
The Good - He's fast and can score
The Bad - His shooting and his passing ability

    Greg Oden:
The Good - His size, can rebound, and plays good defence
The Bad - Post-moves can be weak and gets injured

    Patty Mills:
The Good - He's fast, a good shooter, and can score
The Bad - His size and he sometimes take wild shots

    Elliot Williams:
The Good - He's fast, he can drive, and his perimeter shooting
The Bad - His three-point shooting, his passes are weak, and his ball-handling skills

    2011 NBA (Mock)-Draft:

1st Round: Pick #20 - Kenneth Faried or Darius Morris
2nd Round: Pick #50 - Demetri McCamey or Vernon Macklin

Remember we have Jeff Pendergraf coming back as well at pf. I say sign and trade Nicolas Batum to raise his trade value, Go for CP3 and Arron Brooks as a back-up if we don't draft with our 2nd round pick McCamey or Iman Shumpert who will both be awesome in the NBA. But I agree with getting rid of the old guys and moving on now, give the young guys like C. Johnson a chance at starting.

No offense at all to Patty, but if he's our starting point guard heading into next season, we are in trouble. He has shown the ability to play in spurts, but I don't think he's ready to run the show for a perennial playoff team. Also, where are the veterans? Old or not, teams need vets to go deep into the playoffs.

I just don't see the Blazers trading away 2 starters and a main bench player for 1st round picks. That would put that at 4 1st rounders. We aren't blowing this team up so I don't see how 4 additional rookies can take this team to the top, esp. in what is considered a weaker draft than others.

Yes on Faried. I haven't seen Morris play, but I'd rather go after Nolan Smith if we go point guard at #21. I really like Kenneth's motor and rebounding is one attribute that always transfers over from college to the pros.

Just take the BPA with the 2nd round pick. I do like McCamey's potential. Other candidates I like are DeAndre Liggens from Kentucky and E'Twan Moore from Purdue. Both are shooting guards who can light it up. And as we have shown, we need scoring and bench help. Corey Joseph from Texas is a Freshman guard who should not have declared but he has a very nice game and could be a nice low risk/high reward type of player.

We have the option of signing Jeff Pendergraph just like any other team. He's a free agent. We have no contract or anything guaranteed with him.

Blazers6thMan is correct on this. But I'd look in another direction in regards to a backup PF. For his size, JP wasn't a great rebounder by any stretch of the means. I mean, Dante, a full 2-3 inches shorter than Jeff, was a more prolific rebounder. Jeff isn't a great outside shooter of offensive player for that matter either. I'm not trying to dump on the guy. We all liked him and enjoyed seeing his warrior dance during the pre-game huddle, but I'd like to see us get a better rebounder/defender at that spot that what I thought Jeff provided.

I thought he was good enough to be a legit backup player and a decent enough defender...its just with the knee injury I don't think he would be a valuable pickup until we can see how he does after surgery.

Speaking of Dante Cunningham, I was really impressed at how he was developing. He is a tough defender and has a beautiful and reliable shot from mid-range and down low. I wouldn't mind seeing him return to our bench.

Dante in a lot of ways reminds me of Martell Webster. Both are valuable assets to their respective teams but they need minutes to produce. Any backup 4 we bring in will get a quarter's playing time maximum playing behind Aldridge and with Wallace able to scoot over to the PF for spot minutes. So, I just don't see Dante coming back to Portland and putting up numbers like he did with the Bobcats.

As you can see, Dante put up 13 & 6, but did so in 33 minutes per game in April. I really liked him when he was here, but I think he'd flourish given a larger role than what would be available here.

Yea. Given our recent run-in with knee injuries, we better pass on Pendergraph and just not chance it :)

Plan A: chris paul.. ...give rudy ,miller, batum, draft pick.

B: Raymond Felton....give miller, rudy, babit, draft pick.

C: Aaron Brooks...give rudy, armon, babit, draft pick.  Aaron will be a solid backup behind miller and
gain more confidence, while patty will be the third string point and give him more time improve his game.  Then the season after next Aaron will be ready to take starting role, and we can trade miller and someone else for a center.  Patty will then be a solid backup behind brooks.

    any ideas..

I like targeting Aaron Brooks, but I don't know that he would be a reliable starter anymore. 2 seasons ago when he got MIP and was really producing I would have jumped on it. Now, I wouldn't mind getting him, but only for use as a backup and only for picks/minor role players. Then use Miller to get a better starter and Camby to get a younger and more reliable center.

We need Victor Oladipo. He would be perfect. We need Washington''s #3 pick. Trade JJ?

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
