Lets be realistic Chris Paul nor Dwight Howard will be in Portland next year so lets not  go there. The same can be said about NENE. Now that we have that covered, what can the Blazers do to get better? Answer: Resign Oden, he will be big if he can stay healthy. We'll have Elliot Williams so we won't need Rudy who has been a wash-up. Sign Deandre Jordan(Either offer him more than the clips would be willing to give him, not my first choice, or trade Rudy and Babbitt For him.) Sign Jeff Pendergraph. Resign Miller. Resign Patti Mills. (Some fans want to bring in T.J. Ford... though I am not convinced he would be a great fit for out team if we didn't choose to resign Patti that seems to be the next best option as there are not a lot of premium back point guards on the free agent market.) Sign C.J. Miles (ok maybe this move is unrealistic, but he would be awesome on our team) If we do these things and stay healthy then we will have a second round spot on next years playoffs.

A lot of if's but it sounds good to me.

I'm with mb, that's a lot of "ifs."

Substantially, I agree that Camby and Miller are likely sent away before next season based solely on the "older is bolder, but younger brings hunger" philosophy.

CJ in particular will see a move up the bench if he works hard this summer (and bulks up a bit too, string bean). This

One player I'd like to see us work to acquire is Kevin Love from the T-Wolves. He's an L.O. stand-out who would gel well in the offense Nate runs.

Putting him and LMA and Oden in the paint is a sure sign of rebound superiority and a strong feed and shoot offense. Defense would put a lot of teams into a perimeter-only state of attack.

The rest of the team is too early to comment on at this time. Kevin Love should be someone to strongly consider.

Kevin Love isnt really a very good basketball player when it comes to offense and scoring production.

if your team has problems rebounding and needs a dominant huge prescense down low, sign the nephew of beach boys singer mike love.

The Mid-Level Exception won't be enough to out right sign Nene. If he does opt out of his current contract, he's going to want to make way more than the MLE.
Also, who did we give up to obtain CP3? I don't think Andre, Marcus & Babbitt gets that deal done.
I'm with you on Oden though. We need him to be a threat to make a deep playoff run. His combination of size, defense & rebounding would be exciting to watch and just what the Blazers need.

The problem with JJ remains the same at the 4 or 5 he is just not a good enough defender. Milsap and especially Smith are good defenders. The also both offer more on the offensive side than JJ does.

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
